31 August was the last day the trade window was open and there was some movement on the Betis squad:

    Xisco-gone to Levante ($0)
Ilic-gone to FC Moscow (loan thru 31 Dec.09)

Previously this same week 28 August Betis picked up Nacho from Getafe.

    Viva Er Beti Manque Lopera!!

Well, Los VerdiBlancos only have one competition to worry about now. Got booted out of La Copa del Rey. Oh well, the priority is La Segunda anyways. :(

That's BS especially the way they played today in Alicante against Hercules, the defense played like crap and if it wasn't for Goitia they would have given up 6-7 goals.

As I mentioned earlier before the season started, this team is not getting promoted and Tapia will not be coach at Christmas time.

This team has not clue and God help us if Sergio Garcia gets injured!!

    Hi from Seville,

Just thought I'd invite you guys to check out my Real Betis blog for daily news and views (and occasional pics). You may not agree with me on everything - I'm more optimistic than most, at least about matters ON the pitch! - but I hope there's enough there to persuade you to check in now and again.

I would move Real Betis Balompie Offical Web Page from the entrante portion of your menu to postre y digestion portion since any one who reads that garbage tends to become nauseous and can be seen vomiting soon after, and the same can be said with Radio Betis!!

    Viva Er Beti Manque Lopera!!

BTW-Don't know why the Beticos want to have their games televised, all the money that Betis gets for those television rights which is rumored to be approx. 3M Euros goes directly to Lolo's pockets. In addition watching that shite is detrimental to ones health!! A true Betico IE one who protested at the 15-J protest against Lolo would boycott all home games, not purchase any gear from the new RBB clothes line and would partake in road trips to see Betis play thus ensuring Lolo doesn't get any any more money to line his pockets off the Betis fans,

What is the status of Nelson & Emana??? Why don't they play for Los VerdiBlancos. Please Pichi, no conspiracy theories why they don't play. I want facts. Injuries, fallout w/ coaching staff, self imposed exiles. That sort of stuff. These guys should be playing & helping Los VerdiBlancos get back to La Liga.

Emana is with the Cameroon NT which defeated Gabon 2-1 today. He played 87 minutes in todays match. He also played in the 5 Sept match against Gabon where he scored in the 0-2 win. Besides that he'll be playing the African Cup in January and the WC if they qualify in June which will be the end of the Segunda Division right when Betis may need his services. He wanted to play for another team Lolo as usual said that who ever wants him will have to pay 15M Euros which no one will pay so he screwed. Lolo won't even speak with Emana's agent to discuss this in greater details. Emana as of 31 August said that he wasn't in any hurry to come back to Betis after these WCQ's in Africa, since the transfer window is now closed. Then on
4 September the agent and Emana had a change of heart knowing that the market is closed they said he will be back after the WCQ's and will give his 200%.

As for Senor Nelson he was injured in late July and finally was cleared to play against Cordoba in the Copa, as a sub for 29 minutes. He did not play against Hercules.

And the good news is that Mark "I am always hurt so I can't play with my club team but am fit to play with Chile" Gonzales got injured except this time it was with CSKA Moscow and he'll miss the matches that Chile has this week.

Lima's case may go to FIFA. Seems Lolo says there was nothing in his contract that said if he failed a medical with his team that Betis was going to loan him to, that Betis did not have to take him back since they had no legal reason to keep his work permit and league registration for the player. I will be a bottle of Cruzcampo and some bienmesabe that Lolo will lose this case too!!

Marco Aurelio "Mehmet" is injured and will be out for another month.

Edu finally is scoring again with his new team in Internacional de Porto Alegre in Brasil.

That's all for now and yes I still hate Lolo!!

    Viva Er Beti Manque Lopera!!

If I ever saw Lolo he'd get an earful from this lifelong Betico and more than likely his ************** bodyguards would have to step in so he wouldn't have to hear my 20 minute rant!!

It's certainly something that Betis fans in Seville wrestle with, whether by buying season tickets and so forth you're just helping perpetuate the current regime. I think an overall majority feel that there's a distinction that can be drawn between supporting the team and supporting the club, but there are obviously many thousands who feel as you do and are staying away. And I think the dilemma's only going to get worse if they continue to play as well as they did last night and the stadium starts to fill up. A lot of Béticos of much longer standing than me feel genuinely torn - they obviously want the team to keep winning and get promotion, but at the same time they all know this is only likely to strengthen Lopera's hand in the long run. I'm not sure there is a right answer.

Well in other matters, Betis is still in the hunt for promotion. I am more worried about that. The longer this team remains in La Segunda, the worse the situation will become.

IMO this is as bad as it can possibly get. I don't know if you heard it or not, but last week the supporters stormed a practice. They were yelling chants of jugadores mercanarios. Really dark times for Los VerdiBlancos:(

Yeah and this week all practices are closed to the public. Looks like that will remain in effect for the rest of the season. So much for Lopera FC!!

Should be interesting to see how many Beticos will be supporting the N-29 No Voy Protest, where these fans will remain outside the Villamarin protesting Lolo and his band of idiots for the first 20 minutes then enter the stadium. I have to believe that if Betis loses tomorrow then Tapia willl get the boot and some other clueless coach will get his chance in leading this dysfunctional team back into Primera.

It's time like these that I really miss Don Lorenzo Serra Ferrer.

Betis leave it late for their 13K+ fans who decided to show up for the match. 10K of the fans were in the stadium at KO with approx 3.5K-4K outside the stadium in protest and after 20 minutes the majority of them went inside to watch the match. This was the smallest turnout in the Lopera era for Betis and I believe that this low attendance will continue until Lolo leaves. Caffa who came on for the very ineffective Pavon in the 75th minute scored 3 minutes later to secure the 3 points for Betis. Betis now have 20 points with one match in hand and are 6 points away from one of the coveted top 3 slots in Segunda.

Wow, 100 years of existence and this is where we currently stand. Dark times indeed. If you folks didn't already know, the official Betis store now ships to the USA - happy shopping.

Only 5+ years after the store opened online, one of the last ones in the Liga to do so. Why would anyone buy Betis crap which only puts more $'s in Lolo's pockets. The only way to get rid of Lolo is to cut off his income from the club, which means not renewing season tickets, not buying club merchandise and not paying for PPV to see the club play on TV. Failure to do so will only prolong the sinverguenzas reign as owner and destoyer of Real Betis Balompie.
