I think this will happen in the next 4 months. We'll still be in a capacity to play friendlies before the WC and we'll go to win. Plus, for the scouting part and getting into a groove before any major tournament is really important. Adelante con Bauza

at first i did not find it necessary to hire a coach ASAP...but it would make more sense to hire one before the world cup. there's gonna be a ton of friendlies going on from now til the world cup and having a coach by March, for example, would not look bad at all. Hope Chiriboga see's this and gets the key words from Bauza's mouth "ANTES del Mundial"...

Yep...these next few months will be our last chance to play against teams that actually qualified for the World Cup and will bring their A-squads. Great opportunity to try out new players. After South Africa, everyone else will be in rebuilding mode so the competition won't be as good.

we got our guy...now Chiriboga has to pull the trigger

I've never seen someone who wanted to be our coach so bad...Bauza is basically throwing himself out there, what is Chiriboga waiting for??!!!?! I hope Chiriboga see's this is a great and perfect opportunity, he must say something about this. I'd b*tch slap him if he'd ignore this or just say "Bauza esta descartado"...I can already see the FEF saying something stupid, hopefully I'm wrong.

Waiting for after the mundial is plain stupid.
    Teams want friendlies now.
Friendlies to warm up for the world cup.
Friendlies in which we could test our younger players.
Friendlies in which we could test our younger players for the next world cup cycle.

    DUMB CHIRIBOGA!!
    BAD BAD CHIRIBOGA!

    Re: Ecuador's DT

Bauza should be Ecuador's next National Team coach. Bieler should become Ecuadorian because in Argentina he would not be given a chance to start or play a game in the World Cup. If he chooses to play for Argentina, that would be a big mistake on his behalf for his career. In Ecuador, he would be given a chance to start and if he performs accordingly, he would play. As oppose in Argentina that he would most likely not be given a chance and remain a benchwarmer.

    Re: Ecuador's DT

The question he has to ask is "will I play in this world cup?". If he feels the answer is no, then he will go with Ecuador. Argentina has a long history of not calling up talented players who don't play in Europe in favor of players who do play in Europe.

Boca LEGEND Guillermo Barros Schelotto is one player who comes to mind.

With Ecuador on the other hand he would have a chance to qualify for 2014 and if we did he would pretty much be a lock for the final roster.

Also... on a personal note... I thank you for your considerate use of large bolded font for those of us in the Ecuador forum who are visually impaired. I can't think of the number of times I've thought to myself... "Where are my glasses... oh thank heavens for SiempreAzul.. at least I can read his post!".

A tip of the hat to you good sir for your continued work to make the Ecuador forum more user friendly.

In an effort to help you increase the health and wellness of the Ecuador forum I have included this helpful test for colorblindess. If you notice empty spaces between words it is because you cannot see the color used for that sentance, and are partially colorblind, please see a licensed physician! Only your physician is able to tell you which medicine is right for you, and make sure to seek medical help for an erection lasting less than four hours. Have a nice day.

    you mean Siemprebold :D

i don't really mind it all that much...it's just a contrast compared to everyone else's post which are the default. it's all good!:)

On another note, I think it's better if Bauza jumps on board quicker because we all know he'll start the process to get Bieler into wearing the yellow jersey. It'd be a huge asset to have him because it adds another bargaining chip to our side...Think about it: The dude that brought him to Liga, developed his talent, gave him international exposure and attention. Could it be any clearer? If Bauza becomes coach, Bieler becomes Ecuadorian. YEAAAA

I was going to do my posts in yellow blue and red from now on to
"out Azul" Azul... but sadly... the yellow does not hold up well on the
white background. Oh well. Better luck next time.

    Re: Ecuador's DT

Has anybody heard any news on who will become the next coach for Ecuador's National Team. I think Chiriboga is trying to economize on paying for the best coach out there and get a third or fourth rated coach to be assigned for Ecuador. I heard somewhere that Chiriboga is thinking in bringing back Bolillo Gomez for the National Team. I do not know if that would be a wise decision. This is more or less the order of the coaches that I have been hearing: 1- Fosatti; 2- Markarian; 3- Gomez; 4- Bauza. I really think if Chiriboga would have wanted Bauza, he would have picked him already. Something is going on and I do not like it.

that something is nothing...Does anybody believe Chiriboga will actually do the right thing, and the smart thing, and hire Bauza now when the time is right? Of course not, he's notorious for procrastinating these decisions and even more famous for making the wrong one. He's so inept it's not even funny.

    Re: Ecuador's DT

lol that's so true...and by the end of the next Qualifier i hope he doesn't start regretting like he did this time. His main priority should be Bauza...you have to be out of your mind to ignore him at this point. If anything, Chiriboga should be getting that money ready and bring him in ASAP b/c there's teams out there (especially Mexican clubs) which want him. Fossati and Markarian wouldn't disappoint me. Bolillo wouldn't be too bad of a decision...but I'd rather just remember Bolillo as the coach who got us to our 1st world cup and not as the one that failed to get us in for 2014 (if that were to happen). I don't want Fossati to leave Liga and I want Bauza to be our NT coach....is that too much to ask for?
