but its not a sounder game, so they can do what they want. i find it hard to believe that anyone besides the out of towners are going to participate anyway, i know im not

And on the amusing front. Looks like the Sounders are robo-dialing the STH reminding them to attend the game. Just got a call from robo-Kasey Keller encouraging me to come.

I got the same call. I think the FO is getting a little worried about the turnout Sunday from the STH's. Considering the weather forecast I'd be worried too.

What?! You mean that was his recorded voice I just heard, and not really him on the other end?! I feel so used...

I can tell you that will NEVER happen. Our FO does not want to start the war that would ensue from forcibly removing ECS from Brougham End (even if it's not a Sounders game....), or even sitting the away support directly in the same section as ECS. Since it's LARS, I don't think it be such a big deal, but if Chicago or Houston would have made the finals, it would have been a huge deal.

I think 117 was a 2nd half ticket package right? For that section they could have just not printed assigned finals seats. How many Galaxy fans are actually coming?

Based on their board at least a couple of hundred from the supporter groups and more that joined the free-for-all before they opened up the upper deck section for them. RSL has gotten about 500 in their section so far and that number is slowly climbing. That's not including the fans that couldn't wait until the upper deck section was opened on Monday and bought tickets on Sunday. All in all, I'm thinking RSL might get as many as 800 showing up and LAG somewhere below that. Granted, I'm expecting to see more LAG jerseys than RSL jerseys just because of the Beckhamaniacs, but I'm not counting those as supporters.;)

Did he mention the free ponchos?

And did he have laser eyes? We could really use a keeper with laser eyes. ("And Angel's bypassed all the defenders...he's got a clear shot on goal...OH! And he's been blinded!")

Alas, no mention of free ponchos.. Are there going to be some? 'Cause those of us in the 100s are going to need it.

i dont know if i'd say hijack it, considering we got a post from your FO or somebody essentially inviting us to participate in it. i dont know if our fans are considering it or not, i am probably not, but i figured if im down in the area drinking some beers before the game i might want to see it since i have not been to a sounders game before. then after i see it i might ridicule it:D

    it's started.

as i was waiting for the bus today, guess what i say? galaxy fans getting off the 194 from the airport. i got to admit, my heart sunk a little at that site. knowing we beat both these teams in the season series, and we would beat either one if we were playing, is a bit depressing. we were sooooooooooooo close. if only one of ianni's header's could have gone in. if only.
now that i think about it, i think for the first 10-15 minutes of the match on sunday, i'm gonna be quite depressed watching two teams that the sounders are better than play for the cup. but, that's soccer, and i'll get over it. but, dang!!

The March to the Match will be much different than it normally is.

I totally encourage all away support to come out and sing your brains out... It's up to you to make it the "March to the Match" and not the "Walk Patiently Behind the Band." It's an awesome opportunity to get all your loudest supporters together in one large group and let everyone know you're coming. We treat it like we're the front line leading the charge to war. It's especially loud going down Occidental ave, because the buildings loom on either side and echo everything like you're in a cavern.

This is how Seattle does the March:

Well, crap. I need to read my email more often. Going to be a lot of green out there. Gotta feel sorry for the LA and RSL fans down in the 100's. Going to be wear green or get wet.

I think you mean Sunday, but thanks for the info.

Yikes: "A two-pound soft pretzel topped with sea salt and served with three dipping sauces (spicy mustard, beer cheese and sweet vanilla cream). It’s so large it’s served in full-size pizza box!"

I just pray to God that if Seattle ever makes the final the Seattle fans only be allocatied 100 tickets in the WORSE part of what ever stadium is hosting the match.

Fortunately for Seattle most other teams don't have the STH numbers they do, so getting a large number in a good spot set aside should not be a problem.

first off, eff you! seattle fans have no control over where you sit. and it's MLS POLICY to only allocate those 100 tickets, not SSFC.

second, this is probably the last neurtal site cup final, so WHEN seattle gets to the final, it's very probable it'll be right back here in qwest.

third, you OBVIOUSLY didn't see where DC United put the sounder away supporters for the open cup championship. if you did, you wouldn't be complaining. you got got it good compared to what DC did to us.

    Fixed yr link.

You're missing some numbers there, but I'm guessing they were given the sections marked Supporter Section...?

How many STHs were in those sections? And where did they go? How did the team handle that?

Of course, that might not solve the problem here anyway: our STH base is only 5,000 less than the entire capacity of HDC.
