Stoney's on Concord Pike (that's 202) has been our gathering spot for many years and they proudly display Union and SoB gear. They have great beers on tap, good whiskey on the shelf, and fish and chips, bangers and mash, and shepherd's pie that will blow you away. He now opens on Saturday mornings at 9:30 and serves a full English breakfast.
Nice. Didn't know you were that close. Shepherd's Pie is different, but good. (Peas on side.) Me & Talleyville have been going on Sat mornings for Prem Footy. (Divvy will be coming back soon, hopefully.) Three TVs and if you sit at a table you can see all three. The owner, Stoney is a Leeds supporter and can give and take the jibber jabber. A very good guy. Don't wear a French jersey to the pub. Trust me.
I'm going to try and get there more often for Saturdays as well, weekends for the last month or so have been busy...
I will be there the Saturday after Thanksgiving since I will be home for the break. Expect me ther over Christmas when there isn't a Temple Basketball game as well. Love their breakfast. Great homemade sausage.
Greetings, Yes, Stony's is dangerously close to work (Experimental Station). Anyone heading to Stony's today (Wed) for the US match against Denmark? Cheers, Keith
Just found out I'm getting laid off Friday, so no trips out for me till I find a new job. Anyone need an engineer?
