After reading through the Ruffneck scarves review thread, I emailed Ruffneck about getting the Royals scarf. I basically let him know it wasn't a nickname that was used by the team. Here is his response: The Royals scarf has been removed from the site, and they would like to know what we would like to see on a scarf. Now's your chance to provide input on RSL merchandise. What design would you like to see? What would you buy? Please provide any feedback for Jeff. He's a member of BS, and I've given him a link to the thread. Please provide any positive feedback and ideas for what you want. If you don't want to see something, list it as well. Let's try and keep the negative feelings about the business partnership out of this thread. That is already being discussed elsewhere. Have at it, and let's help this become a success.
NOT the Lakers, Royals, The Real, etc... As of right now, the best option would be simply "Real" or "RSL" However, if they want to try something new, they could try some of the other names we have thrown around... The Crowns or The Yellow Crown The Lions Los Leones Leones Real etc etc etc If they want to take the safe route, just use RSL or Real... however, its something like this that could significantly push (positive or negative) a new name
This is a very attractive nickname mainly because I can imagine coaxing the RioT fans into doing a Westside Eastside cheer of "LEONES!" "REAL"
My two ideas are: One that says "Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole" on one side and "ReAL Salt Lake" on the other. The other would say "I'm Salt Lake 'Til I Die" on one side and "I Know I Am, I'm Sure I Am" on the other. Both are common cheers from the supporters groups. I figure they should use something that is actually being used by the fans of the team. Don't try and make up some stupid nickname just for a scarf.

That is really "FO'ish". But I like it. Kind of fits with the current promotions going on with the team.
The ole song would make sense as it has really caught on this year at the stadium (which i LOVE) Would "Ole, Ole ole ole, Real Salt Lake" be too much for one side of a scarf? Could we possibly be the "RioTers"?

I would buy that... but I think it could be better. Instead of just the Real logo, put the Salt Lake with it as well. The RSL side is ok, but could be better if they included the words like this: Real Salt Lake
Here's an idea that I got while reading about the Inter City Firm. Have the "ReAl" logo on one side. On the other have: "Congratulations, you just met RSL."
Ha Ha. It would be cool to have a ton of people holding up scarves with that line on it after a win at home though right?
yeah, but it would only work after we won a game... The cool thing about the other ones is that they would make sense all the time "welcome to the RioT" would be cool or "Real RioTing"
Okay, so as the username suggests, I've been down with the SLC Punk angle from the beginning. AND, as someone who follows Liverpool, I've been thinking about how cool it would be if the north goal area of the RioT could turn into, eventually, something like the Kop at Anfield. Then I got thinking about a scarf with something like "RioT Kop" on it. Not to ride the coattails of LA's LARS, but...something to think about.
