Awesome travelling support from Seattle today. Just awesome. Huge props to Seattle supporters and the Seattle organization. What a great addition to MLS.
Another Sounder fan here to say that the better team without a doubt won today. Sounders were outclassed throughout the match, they were very lucky to be 0-0 at the end of regulation. Good luck in the playoffs.
why do you guys keep saying this? outclassed is a strong term. From my seats I counted 3-4 near missed (by inches) that would have given you guys at least one goal.
There was a point there where I could here "Seaaatle...... Seaaatle". I was thinking "Ahhh crap"... Good showing from Seattle fans and great showing from the Dynamo.. We might not have the numbers, but the passion is unmatchable. See you guys in L.A.!! Fo Sure!! (I'm making some calls at 11:00 a.m. to Galaxy FO) -Nica
This Thread makes me sick. It's this magnanimous attitude after defeat that makes Sounders fans even more unbearable. And Drew Carey? For god's sake we're trying to get Americans to think soccer is a man's sport and you guys run out Drew 'Fat-creepy-bastard' Carey every chance you get.
1-0 Thanks for coming out. Who shit in your cheerios Mullet and why do you feel the need to rep DCU's opinions on the SS troopers on our Houston threads??? Fuc[ off.
Naw Foo...words like that makes anyone come across as sours. A handful of Seattle supporters want to reflect on their first entry into post season in MLS and taking the loss in stride drop some kind words in our forum, its cool Rey. No need to reply with our own kind words as some have but whatever. That's why it's really a "Thanks for coming out" outlook. Besides, we've got bigger fish to fry homey.
you're right. especially what's quoted above. dude i almost put a bullet through my t.v. last night when all those ESPN hacks were virtually handing the LAG the WC trophy. time to show AEG that the team they don't spend money on is the better one. although i kind of like that AEG doesn't pay attention to us. allow us to make the correct moves instead of the ones they want to put on us. beating LAG at HDC would be sweeter.
Red Headed Step Children we are! yo tambien obstruction ruins the beautiful game AEG in L.A. blocks a lot of the beautiful game, look at the HDC on gameday. Their atmosphere is shit compared to ours and they've had a decade head start.
Re: Red Headed Step Children we are! I was down for the match, and have to say that every Houston fan we ran into was fantastic. We had a great time up in the stands (even though the result sucked), and I can't wait to get back to Houston next season. This was, for me, the most fun I've had at an away match yet.
Don't even get me started. If we win and I see some ESPNers sauntering around the HDC, I might have to say a word or two.
So I was excited when one of my fraternity brothers from San Antonio calls me up last week saying he and a buddy are hoping to come to the game, asking about tickets, etc. He was one of the many brothers I had who spent their college careers playing footy for the Fighting Kangaroos of Austin College. He's told me he follows the Dynamo from SA, and they played the exhibitions in '08 (?) at the high school where he works. He goes on to tell me about having been in Seattle earlier in the year and going to a Sounders game. He was really impressed with the atmosphere, blah blah blah, it was like in Europe when he was in Germany onhis Fulbright Scholarship, blah blah blah. He and his boy roll into town just as the tailgate was heating up. He's wearing a white shirt, and acts all sheepish when I toss him a Dynamo T to put on. Then he breaks the news, and reveals his Sounders green under the white. As Ritcheske Dynamics is Northenders, I told him that he was free to wear whatever color he wished, but that I simply could not be held responsible for what might happen should he go with the green. He ultimately went with the white, but we exposed him on a few occasions during the match. I only once had to intervene during a lively inquisition by a "curious Hincha" and take responsibility for my boy. After that, a tactically placed orange head scarf was enough to satisfy any others that my boy had awoken from the Emerald City-induced opiate stupor and was possibly regaining some semblance of normalcy. My fifth anniversary tragically coincides with the AEGSuperClassico. The flightsuit shall not be in LA. Shame.
