    Amusing comeback.

Did the guy on the HDC loudspeaker tell you to say that, or does he just tell you when to cheer? ;)

it's not *like* watching a retard, it *is* watching a retard, doesn't have to be einstein they're arguing with.

reminds me of a favorite bill hicks line - the average chivas fans look like a dog that's been shown a card trick.

LOL, we are only about 5,000 away from you guys. And you have been in the league for how long, with how many championships and with which star player or players?

    And your attendance dropped 21.5%

Sorry, but this post made us feel very good. Thanks!!!!! :)

Talk about attendance smack all you want, ultimately it's the result on the field that counts.

yeah, "only" 5,000, that wouldn't sound bad if it were the rose bowl and you were talking a difference of 5%, but it's a 21% differential we'd have to drop off another 25% before we approached your pathetic numbers, and let's not forget we boost your attendance you take out our attendance boosting numbers and you drop to 13,555 just above new york. good job!

your lame organization has tried being mexican, tried being an mls team and even tried being good and you still can't do anything but drop attendance.

but you're right attendance doesn't mean much...

You say we keep rubbing attendance figures in your face yet still keep bringing it up. The reality is that I've seen $hitvas games on tv and been to Galaxy games and even on a "bad" day we still have more people sitting in the stadium. It was very embarrassing to see that you guys cant even fill the General Admission seats on your last day for a "playoff" bound team

It's not real though is it? It's actually bollocks.

Y'see, last season our attendances were a little exaggerated by a certain English guy's first full season. Due to the well storied saga of his less-than-stellar performances last year, alongside the Galaxy's collective last-placed record and a faltering economy and said blokes unwelcome prolonged stay in Italy, we did, as you astutely pointed out, take a hit in attendance.

21% as you again cleverly quoted. Now think about it: Chivas had the best record in the west last season. They've had a decent run this season. Our attendance DROPPED by around 4-5k and yet, despite all this, we STILL averaged 5k more fans than you.

I know which scenario I'd prefer my team to be in.

you are right we need to keep it real...lets do that

HDC seats 27,000 so half full would be 13,500

The fact is you can't find one single MLS game this year when Galaxy attendance was that low.

Ignoring the 27,000 at the Milan game and 93,137 at the Barcelona game...

Lets concentrate on the 15 MLS home games both teams played

i hope english is your second language.

seriously chivas fans you've got nothing: you don't have the raw attendance figures, you don't have more "real" supporters, you don't have the record against us, you haven't accomplished anything in the league. all you have is hope; hope that you can win the series and finally have a legitimate milestone to hold over us. win the play-off series and you can talk shit, until then all your posturing rings as hollow as a goat piñata.

Beckham's first home MLS game in 2009 was 15th August, the attendance March through July without him (and the fans he might bring) was still higher than Chivas.
