Damn, it woulda been poetic justice if Silva scored on that chance. Alves the fuukin puuto was grassrolling.
Victor Valdes was very good today, he saved Barca's collective a** a number of times... I can't believe I wrote that but credit where credit is due
Yes, Victor had a surprisingly good game. Good results for us though, Sevilla losing and Barcelona tying.
I wouldn't mind snatching up Banega. He has been really impressive this season and is a much better player than Gago imo.
Right, right. Plus, they can take Villa along with them. I bet he'd play with a wooden leg against us. This is like talking about Marcelo and Drenthe. One is better than the other depending on the game you're watching, but they are both not quite "really impressive". I thought Mathieu did more work yesterday.
Well Gago isn't really a starter and will quickly go all the way down in the pecking order once Diarra gets going so we really don't need Banega.

Arshavin, Benzema and Diego don't deserve to be on the list, they're excellent players, but did not exactly have stellar years. Grafite I thought was worth a mention, Lassana Diarra too.
Agreed. Neither does Cesc Fabregas either. After he came back from injury last season he was so-so for the Gunners.
The shortlists for the Ballon d' Or and WPOTY, after the top five players or so, usually have little to do with who is "deserving"
