The writeup in the Sun said that Buete should be ok for Friday, but didn't mention Thompson.

I asked Stammler about that in class today and he said that Scott will be fine. Also said that Rodway got a split lip in the brawl.

    Haven't heard about Abe yet

Both Scotty and Abe rolled ankles but will be ready by Friday. They were both walking okay on Sunday after the game though I'm sure they were in a little pain. Ian Rodway got several stitches inside his upper lip but will also be ready Friday. Hey it's the Final Four everyone will play.

So what do you all think of this matchup? I haven't seen Maryland play at all this year, but from what I've heard and read, they are an outstanding team. As I have been watching St Johns all year all I can say is that it seems they are a team of destiny this year. I really did not expect them to make it this far, but the way they are playing now they just might be able to pull it out..It looks like a tough, close match again, another OT thriller or penalty kick shootout is definitely a possibility!! Good luck to both teams and may the best team win!!!

Both teams are impressive -- this should be a great Final Four match. Assuming a healthy Maryland team I'd give them the edge based on experience (though SJU isn't really inexperienced) and, in my opinion, better forward play. But this one could easily go either way. Should be a great midfield battle, both on the flanks and in the center of the park.

    UMD vs SJU

I am a big Terp fan, however, if we could get rid of Sasho by him embarrassing the University once again, or another big game loss. I am all for it. We don't need classless people like Sasho in college soccer. I just don't know how you get rid of a plague like him when he is supported by the University regardless of his behavior. I won't even mention the antics of Clarence Goodsen's father, as people on these boards think it is OK for him to curse and threaten opposing players without condemnation.

I follow MD but am new. What specific offenses of Sasho's are yout talking about?

  9. Im gonna go with St Johns in a thriller. 2-1 maybe? 2-0? The SJU defense is strong and this year theyve found their scoring touch. I am a tad biased though...

Hope u r right on this one JMoney...If St Johns gets out to a 2 nil lead, such as St Louis did, I believe they will win the match. They have a solid defense, although with Leidner being out because of the red card against Creighton, it will be a little more tougher...Should be a thriller...
