Hey - it's happened here too! The most dramatic example being a recent skirmish between Legion 1908 and the Union Ultras (Chivas USA). Of course, usually the inter-team supporters group rivalries here in MLS are more like boxing in the special olympics than hooliganism.
agreed 200%, though I guess you can compare our fans to the greater New York City area (yes, i know most of you are from Jersey). but take this analogy, we all love our city as we love our team, however we all represent our bouroughs and defend against the others as we do our SG's. I think it's a great parallel if you think about it, but at the end of the day i'd rather see/hear one united group (having experienced standing in 101 and sitting in a normal seat, i kinda enjoy being able to watch the game and 101, and not be a part of it, no offense). and yeah, so how about them pictures? is the seat relocation event even still going on?
So if those people don't take pictures (and post them on the forum) we are in the dark about those blue dots isn't it?.
so non SG members will be able to buy tickets in our section.... so that might end our GA atmosphere....
it's always been that way, even at GS. It's only GA when people agree it's GA, officially, if someone wants their seat, you have to give it to them. That's why the once a year Beckham game is such a headache, tons of people who bought cheap seats in the supporters section with no idea what they are getting into
i understand and know that but what i'm saying is that if someone buys a season ticket in one of our sections and they are unwilling to allow us supporters to go about our ways- can they complain- and if they do, will that affect us or will it go unheard.
Well, if he's an off-duty state trooper with a couple of his buddies, he can go find the uniformed troopers on the "security detail" & bring them back to cause trouble in the section, until he gets relocated by the RB staff. Well, hopefully there are no state troopers at the new stadium! It would be nice if RB placed a "view obstructed seat*" warning on 101 tickets. (*by people standing, singing & displaying flags & banners!)
From what the FO people told me at the relocation, I believe that anyone buying a ticket in the SS will be told what to expect (standing, singing, etc.)ahead of time. Hopefully this will mean no problems and people sitting there joining in with the atmosphere. But, I'm sure I'm wrong.
Exactly what my guide told me when I picked my seats. Everyone has an assigned seat. They can ask you to move, but they can't ask you to sit down.
i guess we are never going to get to see a picture of the blue dots again? anyone here buy tickets since they went on sale to the general public? i guess it is all over the phone and internet now.
I got my tickets last week over the phone. Red Bulls were friggin awesome about working with me too. I didn't like some of the internet "best availables" in each price range. There was no way to narrow it down within each range. So they patiently worked with me personally while I took my time deciding where to sit. I eventually went with Sec 231 Row 1
I also liked the 200's. I am in section 228 in row 1 also. I am curious as to where the the availability is now. Last time I looked there were still seats in row 1 in my section. It sounds like you must have received good information. I would like to know such as are sections 124, 128, 112 and 107 sold out yet? How many rows are filled up in in the midfield and sideline sections of the 200's?
I got more generalized information (row 1, aisle, etc...), but a few things I know. As of 10/20: 124 was not sold out yet. I could still get 2 aisle seats in one of the higher rows (12 or 13?). 128, 112, and 107 were out of aisle seats I know, not sure if sold out completely. Nothing specific on the amount of tickets in midfield and sideline in the 200's.
