So whats this talk about soccer going on? I like cheesecake, anyone else likes cheesecake? cheesecake is good. Love thy cheesecake.

    Oh and,
Stop arguing, theres not really anything you can do except watch. Give your opinions is fine but dont fight each other for having different ones. Just chillax, and hope that by the end of the season your opinion is right, or be a man telling yourself you where wrong. Arguing with others here is pointless. Give your thoughts not your fist.

There's still 33 more rounds left for someone to start an Ibra/Eto'o thread... :)

I had to leave for the second half but taped it and just finished it. What a nasty display in the second half.

and yet, much more satisfying then the cal/oregon game.

    Blah Blah Blah Blah

I just finished watching the match on Tivo (busy all day)

    1. Messi should have had a hat-trick :(

    2. Malaga are a punch of punks.

    3. Weligton was a c*nt.

    4. The ref sucked.

    5. Who gives a shit if we're in second place on goal-differential after only 5 matches?

In my own defense, I realized what everyone was joking about (evil_allan's formation pointing upward) . I just thought his set-up, not to be confused with line-up, was probably the most logical way of listing the players in their positions, given we use a 4-3-3 formation not a 3-3-4. I hope that's not even more confusing

I realized the whole Messi-Riquelme thing too, if that's what you were really getting at.

On the Ibra-Eto'o debate, I think everyone should take a step back and realize it's too soon to say that Ibra is the next savior. Just like it was too soon for people to start criticizing Ibra after the Inter game. Just like it is too soon to say Henry is washed up and we need to sell the farm to get a replacement (if you think that watch the first 15 minutes of the Atletico game where he came within inches of scoring a goal and set up two should-have-been goals that were missed by others).

Yeah, WELIGTON and his dumb a$s name can go to hell. I don't think what he did was Pepe bad, but he should get a 1-3 game suspension.

I also just watched the game. Malaga now occupies the same space I once reserved exclusively for LPB in La Liga. Death to Malaga!

Agreed and thats including the interation of Ibra , Ibra's lack of full fitness and him carring 2 or 3 niggling injuries , the lack of Iniesta -wait until he starts to link up with Ibra and Messi . oh and we are still carrying Henry !

If you want to laugh... or cry, try reading this "supposed" synopsis by "supposed" AS.S journalist Carlos Cariño. He has the gall to say the ref favoured us!!!!!!!

Please use a translating tool if you don't read Castellano - I'm too tired, frustrated, and angry to double as the other JM right now...

What an idiot. Anyone can see the ref was biased last night. But against us! A clear PK not called, and Wellington should've been sent off...twice!

*I'm sorry to inform you that this Wellington guy broke the vignette as well.

Of course there was going to be criticism. Everyone in the soccer world was scratching their heads at this deal. Everyone knows that Barca got the raw end of it.

We all knew Ibrahimovic would score in La Liga. The fact that he's scored against Malaga and some other scrubs doesn't change the main concern regarding Ibra which is his performances in big games and his performances in the CL. Especially when you changed a proven goal scorer in big matches and in the CL + 40 million euros for him.

Why would I be punished that Ibra is scoring? I'm glad he's scoring. I hope he scores 30 goals.

But again you wrote this in the last game thread:

Plus what you wrote in this one. And I'm not even going to search furthur cause every other post from you seems to be about the exact same things. If you're going to write the same bullshit in every match thread let me know so I can put you on ignore and spare myself from your crap.

What does him linking with other players have anything to do with him missing clear goals? Like I said, if you don't whine and bitch every time he misses a goal you're a hypocrite. Simple as.

So I just watched this match and now Malaga are officially on my "countdown to relegation" list, (kind of like Espanyol last year except they never did). And, while the ref was bad enough, what about the line refs? did the ref consult with them once during the match?

just to clarify, everyone does NOT know that Barca got the raw end of this deal. how can you possibly know this five games into the season?

people were saying the same thing about signing dani alves last summer (how much did he cost? 35m? which was a ludicrous amount for a defender at the time...imagine how much he would have cost if we bought him this summer!). today, i don't think any one questions that deal anymore. this time next year, let's all hope we're saying the same thing about ibra. and SO FAR he's doing damn good, far better than anyone could have realistically expected at this point.

we haven't had any big games yet so let's please not jump to any conclusions when all the available evidence suggests that he's starting to fit into this team very nicely indeed.
