Re: Jermaine Jones update I agree, props to ---- for uncovering this info, hopefully he will be available sooner than later.
Re: Jermaine Jones update Well, it was all over the TV news here, so wow, they really ferreted that one out.
Re: Jermaine Jones update uncovering might be the wrong word, but still, for those of us in the US (most of us here on this board) we wouldn't have known.
Re: Jermaine Jones update Yeah, well unfortunately here, the only news you get on a regular basis is MLS and EPL news. Its crazy how hard it is to be a Bundesliga fan in the states. There are probably more Cocacola Championship games on ESPN 360 than Bundesliga games on goltv.
Re: Jermaine Jones update Yeah, I don't know why there isn't more Bundesliga on TV in the states. There is great atmosphere during the games, not to mention plenty of goals.
Re: Jermaine Jones update It's not horrendous - four games this weekend: Friday: Schalke - Wolfsburg (Goltv) Saturday: Hannover - Dortmund (Goltv) Bayern - Nürnberg (ESPN Deportes) Sunday: Leverkusen - Bremen (Goltv tape delayed)
The future of Jermaine Jones How close is Jermaine Jones to recovering from his injury? Will he be called up? And is it a good decision for the US team? Where would he fit in the lineup? Thoughts on Jermaine Jones in the red, white, and blue? The comment I would make is how well he would fit with other players. His English isn't great, he's aggressive and temperamental, and it appears that his switch to the US team is motivated more by ego than allegiance to a particular side.
Re: The future of Jermaine Jones Yeah.. it's kinds of a new topic here on Bigsoccer. We haven't talked much about it
Re: Jermaine Jones update Jermaine Jones out for 6 more weeks... http://www.ussoccerdaily.com/2009/10/jones-sidelined-another-6-weeks.html http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2009/10/jones-injuries-woe-worsen-out-at-least-six-more-weeks-after-latest-surgery.html
Jermaine Jones now officially a Yank Abroad http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/soccer/10/20/jermain.jones.ap/index.html other than USMNT team duty - now we get to start tracking him here ....
Re: Jermaine Jones now officially a Yank Abroad The folks who've already been contributing to Jermaine Jones threads here for years will be thrilled to hear that.
Re: Jermaine Jones now officially a Yank Abroad Grumble grumble grumble . . . read YA gudelines . . . grumble grumble grumble . . . Rossi . . . grumble grumble grumble . . . Subotic . . . grumble grumble grumble . . . been here for years . . . grumble grumble grumble . . . Rossi . . . grumble grumble grumble.
Re: Jermaine Jones now officially a Yank Abroad Hopefully he is smarter on the field than off. Some of his comments are ridiculous.
Re: Jermaine Jones now officially a Yank Abroad He has been a US citizen since birth, we have been tracking him. Pull up a chair and stay a while.
Re: Jermaine Jones now officially a Yank Abroad So isn't incorrectly titled, and in the wrong forum? I'd suggest it be moved to USMNT N&A, and change "Yank Abroad" to "Member of the USMNT."
Re: Jermaine Jones now officially a Yank Abroad Yes. Jones was always already a Yank Abroad, but finally received clearance to play for the US. While this is good news, it's not really YA-related in the strict sense. Do we have an official "Jones at Schalke [R]" thread? I'd merge this thread with that one...
Re: Jermaine Jones now officially a Yank Abroad https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=483334&page=29 thanks for cleaning up, F's A.
Re: Jermaine Jones now officially a Yank Abroad Thanks to both of you! I've merged the threads and will retitle this one.
Re: Jermaine Jones now officially a Yank Abroad Which ones? I have yet to see this ever backed up. Just lots of poor translations or misquotations. It almost seems like there is an agenda to paint him as some out-of-control hooligan. It's just bizarre.
