Nothing special, we'll prolly do a mini-gate around the jeep if anyone cares to join my father and it.

The way I figure, the RailHawks cannot secure 2nd place with a win tonight as Charleston would have the tiebreaker in hand should they win their final two games and PR could pass us with a win, so we need a 3 points and a little help to finish in second.

The good news is that we have home field advantage in the first round regardless of the result and our home leg will be 5pm on Sunday 9/27.

While 2nd place would be great, it's looking like 2nd place might also include a mid-week flight to Vancouver and back. Ugh.

You'd think that the top seeded team might be allowed to choose whether to play the first leg at home in situations like this.

I dunno, I'd feel more comfortable knowing what we need to do at home to wrap up a series instead of the other way around, regardless of travel concerns and even without an away goals rule.

Also, I would rather face the Whitecaps than the Rhinos at this point, especially with the way the Rhinos play on the road.

I've been looking forward to this game ever since we played them last... it should be very entertaining, hope the rain holds off.

My understanding is that Rennie was given the choice of playing the first leg or second leg at home and he chose the 2nd leg, regardless of who we faced.

2nd leg at home is much better, that way you not what you have to get in front of the home crowd. As far as who we play, 3 through 6 to me looks preatty much the same. I really don't think it will matter much!

Plus, a home game on a sunday at 5pm will draw 2-3 times more than a home game on a Wed/Thur night. Definitely better for the club to play the second leg.

Rochester and Charleston have drawn 0-0 meaning Carolina finishes the season in 2nd place with 55 points at 16-7-7, 3 points behind Portland

And with that point, Rochester can finish no lower than sixth. So it'll be Carolina and Vancouver in the 1st round.

I really like what I've seen from Delicate. He only got a few minutes against Puerto Rico before he was injured, but he looked promising then and he had a really nice assist on the final goal last night with Plotkin. Great late season pickup.

Who would have thought the guy that pissed me off back at the Kickers exhibition when he scored late to beat us would end up being a part of our playoff run? :)

Clearly Rennie/Wellman were on top of the transfer market this season bringing in Richardson, Shields, and Delicate who have all contributed.
