That isn't true though. Rooney has been playing the furthest up the field, with Berba roaming behind him. Why he has been called off side so often this season.

Good call. Had forgotten the Scholes sending off all ready - been that kind of match :)

Probably see him and Carrick, save Giggsy, Ando and Fletch for the Bitters...

This is maybe one of the games where you could say Evra is world-class. Lennon who always gives him problems didn't do much so hoping he had learned something when facing very fast wingers.

Kudos to Evra for keeping Lennon quiet and then destroying Spurs on that flank in the second half despite our man disadvantage.

Rooney shouldn't of cut back in. He should of shot on the run.

Happy that Evra finally got one over Lennon. Lennon has been in brilliant form recently, and I was worried as hell about that matchup.

Vidic has manned up this half. His head has been on every cross.

good win by United. really liked the way we played today. Evra, Rooney, Vidic, Fletcher, Anderson and Giggs really played well. Foster too. nice to have Rio back.

nice team selection too. on to the CL and sets us up nicely for the derby.

have a good Saturday everyone :)

The way I see it is that they've been alternating in that aspect, although reflecting on it now you are correct in stating that Rooney has stayed up top more so:)

The point I'm trying to make is that I believe Berba's inclusion alongside El Roon frees him up more to roam around and get in better positions, positions Ronaldo used to take up at times. Often times Rooney used to be played out on the wing and such which obviously didnt bring out his "best"

    Cheers.

Very pleased with today's result and a good performance to go with it. I was slightly pessimistic beforehand and saw it being a draw. Perhaps I got fooled by Spurs' good start and our stuttering here and there? Thought it would be our toughest game of the seaon so far on paper at least (yeah we lost against Burnley). Whatever the case, I'm happy with that. :)

What a game, definitely didn't think we would do as well as we did going a man down. Great goal by Wazza! Evra kept Lennon quiet the whole game, he and Fletcher did brilliantly. :D

Fletcher is a couple of years and some manly stubble away from being Roy Keane mk 2.

Let's not go over the top now.

Fletch is becoming a very solid all around midfielder.

Glad Ando bagged his first. That has to be a big relief to him personally. Let's go get those Turkeys on Tuesday!

Great win. Vidic and Ferdinand asleep for their first goal.

Great response. Giggs/Rooney distinguished themselves. Fletch, Ando and Scholes had good games. Important save from Foster. Evra showed great energy when we needed it.

Scholes sending off was harsh. Poor ball from Ferdinand to Scholes, Huddlestone went one footed with studs (no intent), Scholes slid with his knee. Sholes spun on impact and flicked his left leg up. Huddlestone having been brushed in the face by Scholes hand earlier clutched his face (cheat). I think from the Refs view he probably thought Scholes left leg had contacted Huddlestones face.

Linesman was crap all game, would have been over earlier.

All in all - were looking good. Ando had a good game and finally scored (lets hope its the start of a few). Carrick not so good when he came on, he needs to get his confidence back. Rooney, Giggs looking great. Nice to see Ryan can still do a job on the left.

Scholes had a very good first half.

Vidic has a 'mare initially but was very very good after we went down to 10 men.
