They need to add the following leagues:
    Argentine
    Japanese
    Serbian
    Ukrainian
    Romanian

+ Various African teams from Egypt, Nigeria, Cameroon, Tunisia, that have done well in the African Champions League.

But for now, I'm happy with the new addition of the Russian League. Although 1 more would be nice, preferably the J/Argentine.

From last recollection doesn't PES have the rights to the J-League? I'd imagine, then, that EA would find it difficult to put that league into 2010. Unless of course it puts in a knock-off league with fake team names and player names, but that might result in the same backlash that befell Dutch fans in 2009.

You need to play it right. I took a created player brought him up 86 in be a pro in starting in the Hyndai A-League. I then saved the player, went into manager mode, and played with Cardiff. I was able to purchase my created player at a bargain price, and proceeded to smash my way up into the Premiereship with the assistance of the player I created. The flip side of that coin; if they B*** during the season and they want a transfer, of course you don't have to sell them, but then your team chemistry sufferes a little, also there is a danger that they'll get called up to the national side when you need them for a key match. I was able to retire my created with a 92 overall rating after I sold him to Bayern Munich.

Now see, I'd never do a thing like that ;)

I scout for promising young talent and play the free agent market. Sometimes I make a hell of a lot of money if I pour some into a few free agents here and there. In fact, I rarely outright buy any players, opting more for sticking with what I have and looking for gifted youngsters.

Right now Chesterfield's slipped from 1st to 4th as I'm having a really bad run in the Championship. But things will look up sooner or later. I really wanted to get out of it through 1st place this season, but that looks like it's slipping away a little.

Most definitely yes this has been sorely lacking, along with some other teams/leagues from CONMEBOL

Ain't going to happen PES has an exclusive liscensing agreement with them. Apparently the big Football game in Japan in Pro Evo

There is a Glut of UEFA teams, and leagues already in the game. They could add a few more but this wouldn't be one of my choices.

    See above.

    See above.

Now your thinking there! It would be a nice nod to South Africa in the World Cup year to have the South African PSL (Premier Soccer League), and all it's teams.

You do realize that nearly all the teams in the Russian Premier League are based in, and around Moscow right? They don't really fair that well in European competition either. For Argentina, and J-League comments see above.

Can't wait for the demo. The 360 dribbling looks like a great feature.

Hopefully they can do more about people quitting online. Well, we can always hope.

Also, hopefully they can fix the offside judging code. FIFA 09 just judged the feet and led to weird offside decisions (I guess thats realistic) :)

I used to play EA's NCAA football and they had a neat way of adding smaller, non division One teams to the mix (a lot of small D-1 schools play d-2 teams or Division one AA teams--a second tier basically) by having a generic weak team denoted by geographic region. I don't see why you can't run into a team called "USL-Southeast" in the US Open cup that is rated just slightly below the worst MLS team. Maybe if you're a d-2 team in Germany in their cup you could start by playing German Third league-Southeast.

But of course you'd get the PES crowd screaming : "look, look, in fifa you play fake teams with fake names" (as if they have much to say what with their London North and East London teams).

Oh, and in 2009 for the PS2 you couldn't get in the champions league with the teams from Norway (maybe also the Swedish ones?). I don't know what happened there, the year before they were in and the Czech Rep were out... but in 2009 I won the Norway league and the next year didn't get to play in Europe.

They need to fix things like that. If a league is big enough to put in the game (and they're from Europe) they need to be in the ECC.

Will the new Europa league that seems to have tons of teams in it require a major new boost in "Rest of World" teams to fill?

Leagues/teams I want in the game:
    1. Russian (yeah!)--
    2. Ukriane (as with Russia they are major players in the Uefa/Europa cups).
    3 Scottish 2nd division (c'mon Partik Thistle!)
    4. Some USL teams in the Rest of World category that you can run into in the US open cup.

    Now, other things I want:

    1. Superliga or Concacaf Champions League.
    2. Mid-season friendlies (I could just play some good Mexican teams and pretend its for the Superliga).
    3. I want youth academy players to automatically be from the country my team is in (in 2009 I kept getting Albanian Youth Academy players for the Colorado Rapids--is there an Alabanian Refugee camp in Denver I don't know about?). This would really help offset the fact that five years into the game there's not a SINGLE American player under 26 playing in the MLS. Any young Americans are in the Brazillian or Mexican League (and they're only decent defenders-nothing special).

And finally, an odd note about Fifa 09. For the last several editions I've always kept a look out for good American players that pop up in the game or through scouting... 2007 had a couple-mostly goalies, 2008 had an awesome midfielder ("Butcher" or "Bratcher"?), but in 2009 nothing but defenders pops up. It's funny, does the rest of the world look at us as capable of producing decent defenders now and nothing else?

Anyone else put together American-only teams in England and see how they do?

Am I the only one who isnt really excited about FIFA10? Dont get me wrong, the 360 dribbling is a nice feature and all but I honestly cant wait to see the World Cup game coming out next year. Its been a long time since I played with a huge collection of African and Asian national teams, so I hope WC2010's game will be just as diverse as the one released in 2006. :)

He's been the poster boy for the next gen versions of FIFA. They display that digital rendering of his face when you start the game up and he is the default player for the arena mode. Naturally they overrate him and will probably continue to do so until his contract with them runs out.

he was like an 88 about in 09. and he was fast. ronaldinho+fast=oxymoron. even leonardo coach of milan told him to lose weight. it must be a new brazilian trend. first ronaldo, then adriano, now ronaldinho... fat. lol. im expecting him to still be around 85-89 something dumb like that, but theyll probably end up being 4.5 stars as they lost kaka and theyre all ancient.

Was I the only person who liked the World Cup 06 game? It was good for the time it was released but maybe a tad reptitive.

i played the demo for the euros, same thing just european teams. usually they put some features in that before releasing the next fifa game. in the euro game they showed the coaches reactions which i thought was pretty cool and they had the custom celebrations too which made me think theyd put it in 09 and they did.

Anyone played the FIFA 10 demo yet?

I'm downloading as I type but it's taking pretty long as it's a 1005 MB demo, I'll give my first impressions once I play. :)

I might decide to download it later.

It takes to long to download things on the Playstation 3 though.

Took me a little over an hour to download it and I have to say it met my expectations and then some.

The 360 movement is noticeable but not as groundbreaking as I was hoping it would be but maybe as I play more games it'll be more noticeable?

The rest though are all positives for me, first off I noticed the speed of the game seems to have been slowed a which is definitely to my liking. I played two games on the medium speed setting and it felt about the same pace as the slow setting in FIFA 09.

The controls are now more responsive and it makes passing more fluid and enjoyable. Shooting is also improved from last season's game, to me taking a shot on goal feels less like a balloon and much more lifelike as if the ball "feels" heavier.

Overall looks like FIFA 10 is going to be a very good game. [IMG]
