Barcelona were destroying teams, united had more scrappy wins, and all season there was an obvious quality difference against their opponents. Nothing against manutd as they were very good, but barca had one of their best seasons ever and it was the better team that won that night and not just a one night fluke. two years ago they had an out of form henry, ronaldinho, deco, and sometimes etoo. with pep they also got a new coach that believed in xavi and iniesta more, and messi stayed fit and had his best season to date.
Not to mention that Barca still played Man. United very evenly in that CL SF. Difference was that wonder goal from Scholes.
Those "4 incredibly competitive teams" dominate their league and hog the CL spots. At least with the "titanic 2", other teams in La Liga can qualify for the CL.
My favorite - Yossi benayun ( loyal to my country hh ) but for real iniesta , gerarrd ... ibrahimovich , villa ... lampard..aguero hated : well real madrid ! sqaud
That's debatable. He hit it low and fast which is hard to stop, Almunia didn't see it coming, perhaps VDS or Buffon, i.e. tall keepers would have had more of an advantage then Almunia, but to save it would be another debate. And stop bashing the ladas a fluke. He's done it time and time again, he's proven in that department. Not to say hes accurate like Zico, Platini, or even Juninho for any stretch but he's shown time and time again that he has the technique and ability to wack them in,
I like him. He was the first player I ever knew. Living in Canada soccer isn't very popular so when I was a kid in the 90's (yes I'm very young) the only player I actually knew was Beckham because of the success Manchester United were having.
More like favorite player: Maradona Hated Player: Pele !! Oh, and add Mourinho to my hated "players" even if he's not a player. He's one of my most hated personalities in the game, if not the very tops of my list.
update* Favorite: Ronaldo ,Romario ,Rivaldo ,Felipe Melo ,Materazzi ,Julio Cesar Hate: Zidane, Messi ,Henry ,Ribery
