Özil is amazing....how he controlled that ball. Amazing. Should have scored.

Great run and shot by Schweini!

He is looking good so far. Like how Schweini and Poldi are constantly changing positions. Schweini often playing on the left side.

Ahaha, I love the DFB. According to them the reason that the expensive tickets were not sold is the late start and not the fact that these tickets cost about 80 €.

    :D

In 2007 against Cyprus I tried everything to get a ticket and I was not successful. That game was sold out on the first day!!

I guess it was still because of the WC euphoria.

Penalty for us. Clear penalty, Podolski got fouled. Nice combination by Poldi and Gomez.

    Ballack scores! 1-0!

Another great combination by Özil, Ballack and Gomez. Great header by Gomez, but a world class save by their goalie prevents another goal.

Schweini with a stupid mistake right now. Lost the ball and didn't track back. Azerbaijan had so much space on the right it was ridiculous. Lahm wasn't there either.

Match has slowed down considerably now. They need to increase the pace again.

Schäfer's crosses have been crap today, all of them.

    The fans are getting impatient.

Aser almost score on shambolic corner kick defense, the Eagle forced to make a great save.

    Hitzlsperger

Mertesacker is playing really well, good to have him back. He has prevented quite a few dangerous situations today.

    1-0 HT

I just don't understand why we always become phlegmatic when we take the lead. We started well, but after the lead, we have been way too passive. No movement, a lot of awful passes.

Seriously hope that the second half will be better.

Everybody standing around waiting for ball to magically appear in the net. Ballack and Oezil need to step it up pronto in 2nd half.

The players want to save their energy for the weekend and only try the necessary.

But what they did in first half was far less than the necessary.

10 good minutes against some lower opponent...
    Schweinsteiger and Poldi are pathetic.

Schäfer has still not convinced me in the national team. I'd prefer moving Lahm back to the left, where he can be more effective, and play Beck, Castro or whoever on the right.

Seems like Löw heard me, Beck for Schäfer (Lahm moving to the left), Klose for Gomez.
