Davies has essentially been our best player since he began starting at the Confed Cup. And as I say that, Spector completely misses a pass to him when he was running behind his man. And as I write that, Dempsey misses ANOTHER sitter. That's the 3rd perfect pass that he's gotten in the box which he hasn't even managed to get on target. Oy vey.
It was more Bornstein and Spector, as Spector's communication has been horrendous all match. Like I said earlier, he's the player I'd be most worried about from the US. Howard was anticipating the far post - but Spector got beat, and his momentum couldn't physically allow him to react in time. He'd already put Howard in bad lines of sight already. He just put up a good cross, but the US is blowing chances (again). US just not finishing chances. NOt decisive and quick enough.
On the replay on the goal, it looks like there was an unmarked Sallie making a run to the far post, and Howard was anticipating the cross. Still a horrible decision.
The soccer gods are laughing their a** off right now. At least those July friendly tickets against Grenada will be cheap and plentiful.
