Ok, so Landon sends me this e-mail telling me to post viewing parties on the US WC bid website. So, I figured I post it here, since I'm sure Landon didn't bother to e-mail everyone. Worth adding DVI to the list?
He emailed me, of course. We go way back. Definitely. Right now the closest party to me is in Hoboken. Free marketing can't hurt, right?
oh yeah, that whole SJ thing, right? Bolton, would you like me add things from the last 'nack and the website? Let me know.
Ok, things have been added, they are slow to update the search page. If someone notices anything that needs to be edited, please let me know.
Well, not to be picky, but there seems to be a word missing. "Join the Delaware Valley Infantry and the Sons of Ben cheer for our boys." Should be "to cheer for our boys?" "As they cheer for our boys"?
Glad to see the SoB moving into South Jersey. I live 2 minutes from the PJ's in Cherry Hill, but unfortunately I am back at college right now. I usually watch all the soccer games at this PJ's. There is guaranteed to be tons of soccer fans watching the game as well. Should make for a great atmosphere!
I'll be at the DH tomorrow. anyone know if we have our normal room or are we mingling witht he masses?
Rigger Bar has been reserved & confirmed at DH. Busy day tomorrow with many international matches in early afternoon So where will the rest of the crew be tomorrow? Philly, Jersey, Bucks? weigh in... .
Cant stress enough for the NJ guys to show up to PJ's. We get ONE shot at this. I love the DH but 4 for the bridge, 6 to park, 6 dollars a pint alone covers 4 pints and a burger with our PJ's specials. Cant afford to DH all the time...just me at least
I'll be there. Love not having to park, tolls, etc. Tho one of these times we need to do it at the High Street Grill. I can set up some nice deals for us.
Arrived at the Horsham Inn at game time. It was me and about 10 toothless guys that were clearly not into soccer. I moved on to the Iron Abbey and hung out with some nice folks including the Scottish bartender who I was happy to discover is a Celtic supporter. I gotta say though I was disappointed. I was looking forward to hanging out with some SoBs. Did we spread ourselves too thin?
I def. repped in Lynchburgh, VA. The guys I met at the bar tonight told me to look 'em up the next time I'm in the area. I said I probably wouldn't be again, but to watch in March 2010 and they'd see me with the SoBs. I need to get a friggin shirt to wear when I'm out of state...
Thanks to everyone that came out last night! Roughly 40-50 in South Jersey at PJs and another 40-50 in Philly at the Dark Horse! Both venues are sure to see more action moving forward!
Well this just helps to solidify the whole disorganized and confused image I am trying to promote for myself. Still I'm glad to have made it over to the Iron Abbey, that place was packed and had a great vibe going. The two pints of Arrogant Bastard I had helped too.
The newsletter and the page linked at the top both say what I just said...I don't know where the disorganization and confusion are coming in.
