I have a pair of Laser 1s that I've never properly broken in, and they are probably the shoes I want to use for the new season which starts on Thursday for me. Should I try this Freezer technique? I don't want to try the whole shower technique for some reason, I think it'll mess it up.
Hey could anyone help me out with this question? Are these boots shown Vapor 1's or 2's? They look very similar, but I've never seen a colorway like this with the side graphics. Or are these the original Talaria's? Thanks guys!!
I wasn't sure cuz these are pics that the guy sent me that I was buying them from, but for $5 it's not a bad deal. I love soccer parents that have no idea what they are selling. Did the talaria's always have those terrible colorways for the first version? I had a pair of red/white II's, but they looked almost exactly like the Vapor II's.....
Hey, new to the forum, i have a pair of those mercurials. used to play in the back in 2003..have no idea but i suppose they could be talaria 2's.
Shit ok i finally found them, their not Talaria but Mercuria Rapid... heres an Ebay link http://cgi.ebay.com/Nike-Air-Mercur...oots?hash=item27ab49a0b0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
So on the hierchy of the Mercurial family, where exactly did these fall? Are these like mid table, or like the Nike Steam? Just curious. Thanks again guys!!
Absolute HUGE crack across my Superfly's this weekend after a strong tackle from some douche' hahaha, Guess I will be the first to see if the recalled Max Orange Superfly's will "fly" with Nike and the voucher program!
I recently sent a pair of MV IV SL's back to the original store of purchase as there were several large cracks on the soleplate of both boots... The store contacted me a few days later to say that it's going to be very unlikely that I'll be offered any form of exchange/refund as 'in their opinion' it looked like someone had deliberatley tried to crack the soleplate. As you can assume I was a bit hot under the collar at this accusation, even though I've had the boots for just under a year, I've only been able to wear them during the 3-4 'warmer' months (you pretty much have to use studs from November-March over here). After spending that much ££ on a pair of boots you'd hope they'd last for a little bit longer..?? They added that they were the first SL's in the UK to be returned with that problem and informed me that "nike are mystified as to why the solplate has cracked in several places as its made from a kevlar carbon mix, which is also used in bullet proof vests". I couldn't believe what I was hearing - I made it clear to the salesman that I didn't purchase boots with the intention of dodging bullets....and that I'd heard several other customers had had similar issue's. He was being mega concrete and said I'd have to wait for a Nike Rep to inspect the boots! I can safely say that I haven't intentionally broken the soleplate!!!! From what I've read on these boards since the SL's release I can only assume that its a pretty generic manufacturer fault. I feel like John Coffey out've The Green Mile!! Anyone else had this problem?
you shouldn't have brought them to the original store and dealt with some twat who thinks he knows whats up. you should have contacted nike directly and gotten a voucher. So is this store in posession of the boots, or do you still have them? get them back, tell the store to "fu@k off and you lost a customer, as well as any potential customers i know for insinuating i broke these SLs on purpose", then get a voucher from Nike for the full MSRP of the SLs. its been discussed plently of times in bigsoccer, the procedure to do so is easily findable if you did a little searching.
In between the talaria and the steam i would think. The steam seems to be the cheapest/worst version of the mercurial.
Ok, so here's another question for everyone regarding an issue that seems pretty common. I'm a huge fan of the Nike Vapor 1's and 2's, but am starting to realize that they were very prone to heel separation. I have two pairs right now that have started to separate. What kind of glues has anyone found to work pretty well? Since the heel is plastic and the leather synthetic, I'm assuming a plastic/vinyl cement? When I called Nike, they said they could not tell me what kind cuz it was proprietory (*sp). I tried a vinyl/plastic adhesive from Sears which was a flexible base, but that lasted one game on soft ground. The next game on firm ground completely broke all the previous glue. I just took my other Vapors to a professional shoe repair shop that said he used the latest version of a vinyl plastic cement directly from China so I'm skeptical..... but the dude was SSIA certified. Any experience in this area?? Thanks guys!
I Had Two Pairs Of Vapor Citron IV. One Pair made in Bosnia, One in Italy. Btw OMG Its NOCH, Can we see some pics of your broken superflys ??
anyone have the tiempo classic lites yet? i was thinking of picking them up today instead of legends, but wanted to see what the overall feel about them is.
