The CL group stage has very little margin for error. You drop a tie to the team from Pot 4 and you are roast. Most teams count on getting the six points against them, specially with the quality of teams that were in that pot this year. Say you screw up one game against CSKA or Besiktas, in any other scenario you'd be like "well, no prob, next week we play in Hungary/Transylvania/Moldova, and CSKA and Besiktas play against each other, so we'll make up for it." Big difference between that and going to Wolfsburg to face a bunch of notable players and a pretty-close-to-world-class striking duo. Whatever you think of the coach, their manpower is impressive.

Bottom line, drawing the one good team from Pot 4 is NEVER good news.

I don't know about a lock, but I think he'll step up above any other challengers for the spot, bar Aguero, if he keeps playing this way throughout the season. Tevez may have fallen a ways down the pecking order.

If you have him, you truly are a fearsome team!

ManU has the worst draw. There is no walkover team in the group. and they are not brimming with match winners themselves.

I disagree. They should smash every team in that group - its just the long travels which make it unappealing as it can wear a team down at a time when you need them in tip top shape for your weekend game.

    Like someone said earlier, there is no reason why we shouldn't make it out of this group. Marseille will be tough away and Milan is Milan but I'm happy we got Zurich opposed to anyone else from pot 4. As long as we don't make this more difficult that it is, we'll be fine. Plus, we've got our work cut out for us with the way all of our games were scheduled. Here are my predicitons;

at FC Zurich on Sept 15 Win 3-0
vs Marseille on Sept 30 Win 4-1
vs AC Milan on Oct 21 Win 3-2
at AC Milan on Nov 3 Draw 1-1
vs FC Zurich on Nov 25 Win 3-0
at Marseille on Dec 8 Draw 0-0

Agree, the only group that looks hard is the one with Athleti, Chelsea, and Porto in it. My guess is that Chelsea and Porto make it through there.

Well technically you didn't have it, similar to how I "didn't" have the money I spent at the bar but my mastercard had the money.

Unless you slide the credit card through the bar lady's breasts, tipping with a credit card is kind of boring.

OT, but it's pretty common in North America, specially in pubs and places with patios.

Unfortunately, no, i don't have a credit card.

Are there also table dance clubs with a credit card reader in front of the girls, replacing the traditional money thing?

In most places you open up a bar tab by handing the bartender a credit card (even if at the end you pay with cash or a different card).

What is a table dance club?

No but they should have introduced already. We don't have the benefit of 1 dollar bills like in the States so our small change gets quite heavy (the girls think you're packing heat though).

Milan thought they could escape, but they only delayed the inevitable... I'm going to enjoy watching Real Madrid tear them apart. :D

Not quite as confident as you are. This is a team with 5 new starting players, it is going to take this team at least a couple of months to really get going.

Also a fully fit Milan are still a pretty darn good side. They may lack depth, but with players like Pato, Flamini, Gattuso, Nesta, Silva, Pirlo and even Huntelaar, makes them a very formidable opponent imo. There is also the fact that Madrid don't do too well against Italian teams.

    lol, I did...

Got trizounced! Hope they play like that when we visit the San Siro.

btw, Sneijder didn't look too bad for Inter. I think he'll do well there. Shouldn't be as much pressure there as there is here. Eto'o looks very dangerous still, as well.
