I'm most worried about Song and Arshavin. Song has been in fantastic form, and he really could wreck our MF if they aren't up for it. Arshavin is Arshavin.
I'm with HomeatHighbury, think it'll be a 2-1, just don't know who. We gotta play Scholesy though for me, and Nani/Valencia on the wings. Also, I want to see Owen out there at some point - now that he's broken the duck, I think he's gonna be among some goals.
people underestimate denilson, he has good qualities to affect the game i think anderson will have less fun with our cms this year lol u guys should be happy to have berbatov in your side, he will be the first good, big and technical striker we have faced with this new cb pairing as well as rooney should be a good game
Exactly, there is not a more duplicitous manager in the world when it comes to injuries related to club fixtures. For international matches everyone lies to protect their players, but Wenger flat out lies and says someone is out for the season or three months and they'll start the next three matches in 10 days. I guess it isn't your intent, but it is amazing how he "broke his duck" in his third match for the club. He had one start and one sub appearance without scoring. I've expected (and really anyone with knowledge of his game should too) him to be among the goals since we signed him. Nothing he's done or not done this season changes that.
I don't think I completely understand what you're saying - I've expected him to do well for us, I just think the first goal is always crucial for a forward, especially on a new team. I don't count the friendly nonsense, and I doubt Owen/SAF did either. But if the games had continued to stack up with him still on 0 goals, he'd definitely feel some pressure, maybe try some more stupid stuff, etc. That's why I'm happy he's got the first one out of the way - I think he'll know for sure now that he's back at it again, and we'll see him play really well.
Well to be honest, Anderson will own any of your midfielder players because he combines the physicality along with good technical ability which only maybe song could match on a very good day and thats not mentioning his creativity...
im sorry but cesc is superior player and song is looking like he can play a smilair role as well as denilson he will not 'own' anyone after all, united fans dont even rate him in the middle and he was absent in the cl final he needs to play durther up the pitch tpo be effective
Tactically speaking, I keep waffling...tempting to play the same side as last week (minus Gary ), but a 3-man midfield also makes sense against Arsenal. I can see SAF bringing the 3 that didn't even make the bench last week (Park, Carrick, Ando) straight back into the side, but Valencia, Nani and Berba also deserve to get the nod after their recent play. Only thing I'm set on is the back four - Evra, Vidic, Evans, JOS.
I agree. Isn't anderson on his way out anyway? idk, i think i read that in the papers, something about a bust-up with the boss. Anyway, the performance's of Denilson are very encourageing. remember, these players won't stay 19 for ever. There all growing up, and i think we're starting to see it this year. who knows if we'll win something this year, i certainly hope so, but its truly INEVITABLE at this stage, that these players WILL win something sooner or later.
- i think we will go with a 4-4-2. I would think that 4-3-3, or any formation with Anderson, Carrick Fletcher playing centrally would be the best bet considering the damage they've done to them over the last two seasons.

Giggsy: "Right here, we have a 6 ft Bulgarian going by the name of Dimitar. He looks to have a good stance and a great backside"
The way he's been playing over the past n months he couldn't own an Arsenal fan wearing a Cesc shirt, let alone their actual midfield.
