Silva could make me forgive Perez, unfortunately we waited too long and now he's cup tied. I do really like Cazorla and rate him very highly, but Mata ain't bad either. The best of the three would be Silva though. None of them are as good as Robben is right now though. I thought he wanted to challenge for three trophies? Or is making Calderon look bad more important to him?

It seems they haven't learnt from last time round:

Invest all your money in a handful of world class attackers, disregard your coaches plans and sell the middle order of your squad leaving you horribly exposed when one of said players gets injured, suspended, tired etc.

Who are our game changers of the bench now?: guti, drenthe and granero.

Not too good is it.

higuain and ruud are clearly strikers and not likely to change the shape of play. Besides the latter is unlikely to recover from a serious knee injury at 33 years of age and higuain will suffer from lack of games.

Also - if the rumours are to be believed, rthis is part of deal to bring ribery next year. Just don't see the sporting logic at all.

whats the big deal about silva being cup tied? he is eligible to play after the group stage if he comes on board right? we've got enough players to handle the those 6 group stage games. there's also CDR and la liga to deal with so silva would still come in handy. i really hope they can deliver us a silva and not another faubert!

This is what it comes down to for me. Unless they bring in Ribery (who isn't a complete upgrade but more of an equal in my mind) to replace Robben, no one they get will be as good or bring to the table what Arjen did. He can change games on his own. If Real Madrid want to be the best, that's the kind of players they need.

This could be true, but I hate the idea that they'd sacrifice a season (which is practically what they're doing by getting rid of so much depth) for the sake of ending up with Ribery, who isn't nearly as spectacular as they (and Bayern) seem to think. Obviously he's a great player, but would he really be that much different than Robben, who has already proven himself in Spanish football?

I just don't get it (unless Ribery comes over this season).

This is ridiculous, I can't understand this management. When the coach's comments hold no weight at all, then you know we're back to the same old problem again. I for one sympathize with demogrogon, whether one wants to admit it our club is run like a circus.
