This is an ass whoopin', so far.

I thought Sol NJ (why are these clubs wearing each other's colors - your supposed to trade jerseys after the match) was pretty dominant in SL, and they are doing it again.

Women's football doesn't suck as much as it used to.

Women's football needs some rowdy ultras.

Assuming there was contact on Kai, it was an obvious red. No one was catching her before she was right infront of goal.

Rosana dancing through midfield. Boxx puts a stop to that. :)

    [tangent from pre-game]

Sobrero Markgraf is a central defender and always has been (well, save that really bad left back experiment by April. The less said about that the better). At the time, Pierce/Sobrero were not competing against each other for time. Pierce Rampone was a right back. She was Fawcett's back up. She got her caps to build experience as a defender since she was switching and during Fawcett's maternity leave (I believe but don't want to try to navigate the annoyingly new ussf site sans archive to double check) .

Rampone has only shifted inside as an older player. Rampone in her younger days was an outside back that overlapped very well. There are those that think her omission from the lineup in a particular game vs Germany was a large contributing factor to the loss. But I digress.

55': if you're going to card Bock for that challenge on Branam, then Rosana should have gotten one there for the butt-check to Boxx in the air. :(

The STL fouls on Branam definitely should have been cards. They were through her lower back with absolutely no chance of getting the ball.

    Agreed wholeheartedly.

I'm just frustrated with the inconsistency of ref'ing this season. Truly egregious.
