We are not playing very well. Why is Lass not playing in the midfield . Ronaldo is pretty average again, so is Benzema. Higuain and Robben for Ronaldo and Benzema.

lol.. I didn't know it was justin.tv too... it worked pretty well for me, better than some of the justin.tv streams (from the actual site) and it's pretty clear... i realized, by the way, that it is in romanian... couldn't recognize the language, but it sounded distinctly latin.

Marcelo is a much better option at LB than Drenthe at this point, it has to be said.

How Kaka kept posession in the box that whole time is beyond me, great control, just missing the goal.

Nice defense from Albiol (hope his head is ok) and Metz just now.

Halftime. Not great, not bad against a team thats already started its season. Better spacing, tighter midfield distribution, and a little tighter defensively and we'll be straight. Benz must pull the trigger and show more killer instinct.

I'd sub off Pepe, move Lass to DM, Arbeloa to RB, bring in Robben for Kaka or Ronaldo at 55 minutes.

Sneijder for Granero at 65', Garay for Albiol at 65', Higuain for Benz at 65'.

Neven Subotic? Not 100% sure if he was born in the US or not, but he is US bred. Played for the USA in U17 World Cup. Not sure what all the issues were, but he now plays for Serbia and not the US.

My stream wasn't good, but it wasn't spectacular. I could usually tell what was going on.

And for us, that wasn't much. We had a few good movements, but we had a really hard time keeping possession. It kind of seemed like the Liverpool game in that the other team's defense swarmed to us and we weren't quite sure how to counter that. I'll be eager to see the adjustments Pellegrini makes at the half.

I have no idea what IO is but i think it might be because I live 90KM from the German border.

Not understanding the Lass at RB, Pepe in the middle line-up. Hope Pellegrini explains this, starting to wonder if he doubts Lass at DM now that he has Xabi?

Marcelo is definitely better than Drenthe at LB, for now anyway. Agreed that Lass should be playing DM and Arbeloa RB.
This game could use some Robben in it...

The youth coach for the US and Subotic butted heads and the coach stopped calling him up.

Because Pellegrini has (finally) figured out that he has too many forwards and not enough midfielders, so he has to try out some stuff in the defensive mid spots for future reference.

Right, but he wasn't born here. His "issue" (at least what most bitter US fans will tell you :p) was Thomas Rongen when he excluded him from the U-20 WC in 2007....

It's easy to be critical of some of our attacking players but the inclusion of Pepe and the absence of Lass from the centre is having a major detriment on our play. I'd be tempted to make the simple switch and seeing what happens before making whole sale changes.

Still think the defence looks a bit static. No-one really seems to know who their supposed to be picking up or where they're supposed to be.

Again, Madrid showing a lack of spirit and Ronaldo doing nothing but stopping, doing a step over for no reason and then an unecessary flamboyant pass.

This team will need time to gel and become a "team". They will depend heavily on isolated individual plays that will make the difference in matches. Expect this to happen for the first couple of months once La Liga begins.

This stream definitely works. The match is published on German free-tv and the broadcast station offers a internet stream for all those, who prefer watching the game on the computer. The comment is in German of course.

    http://www.ran.de/de/fussball/mehr/video/live-player.html

EDIT: I´m sorry, I just noticed that the stream is only available in Germany and Austria, but maybe it works for you...

    Concerning Subotic:
He may be born in America, but he was raised in Germany. He went to school here and learned how to play football here. He would have never made it to the player he is today in the U.S., but in other countries where football is supported very well in the youth area.

 What are you talking about? I see a formation that is uneven, no issues with spirit or effort.

Laudrup, how does Pepe at DM solve a lack of MF issue? Do you mean a lack of MFs in this match squad, or in general?

So M. Diarra, Gago, Xabi and Lass is not enough ? For two positions?

It's ten days before the start of La liga and Pepe is out for a month. Why bother playing him when the team needs to gel together.
I don't like how Ronaldo is playing. To many fancy trick with no real effect.

The are some positives, I see a connection between Granero and Kaka and later in the season this could be deadly.
