First off, I am glad the Sounders wore the blue jerseys Saturday in LA, but does anyone else think the Sounders have to wear white shorts and blue socks (or black) with the blue jerseys? The rave green is great for home, but we need to switch on the road I think. And why don't MLS teams carry 3rd kits? The Sounders should have a 3rd white kit or black kit too.

And I apologize to the superficiality of this post, but I would like the sounders to look as good as they play. What does everyone else think?

I like the blues, but the green socks have to go.

Our blue kits beat the crap out of our neon green one. Seriously. Those remind of something I might have worn in the late 80s early 90s.

How dare you sir mocking the late 80's early 90's it gave us........well.......okay fine the Pixies and bangs and that's about it, but the rave green is at least unique. Something to be said for that.

Hence the Rave Green?? It seems to me, that it's an American sports phenomenon to have two team colors and never deviate from that. Like why don't we have 3rd jerseys that are purple (like ACF Fiorentina) or all black or something? Obviously the kits worn doesn't actually mean much, but it's nice to see a sharp team

I know I was personally hoping to see a shale third kit similar to some of the warm-up gear.

There is no rules against having a third kit just a deal w/ Adidas to purchase a preset number have shorts and shirts to be sold. I assume that number is set pretty high with the lack of teams willing to take the risk.

Well if there is a team in the league that could do it, it would be the Sounders, they are leading by a wide margin in merch sold

The solid color look is superior to the two tone look. I wish we would wear the green shorts with the green jerseys at home, as well as on the road.

amen to that. personally, i like the green, so i don't care if they wear the blue or the green, but it really should be one or the other, and not both at the same time.

and maybe it was the way the blue kits came through on hd, but it seemed to me, that the kits they were wearing sat night were a tad bit lighter shade of blue than the kits that they sell in the stores. anyone else get that impression, or am i just dreaming?

I have trouble tolerating the "all green" look, personally. It's too much. The green jerseys with blue shorts combo is pretty good, imho. The blue shorts are a good neutral compliment to the green jerseys.

I'd like to see a white jersey and white shorts which would give us more possible combinations on top of what we already have. Blue/white, green/white, white/blue, white/green, white/white. To go with the green/blue, green/green, blue/blue. (I'm not going to dignify the silly blue/green combo.)

I don't think we need a shale jersey as the blue jersey is already on the dark side.

For the record, Chivas USA have a third kit and its blue. There may be more teams with a third kit, but that's the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

I cannot stand the Blue/Blue/Green though. It should be all blue or all blue with green shorts. As far as our home jerseys, green/blue/green. The all green against barca was hideous.

Colorado Rapids have an Arsenal inspired White/red shirt they use for "international" games... which actually mean friendlies against Mexican teams.

Also, the all-green look makes it pretty hard to tell where the Sounders players are on the field when they play at home. My TV is NOT HD so your team looks like they blend into the astroturf. I can't stand watching Seattle at home because of it, so I don't.

In close ups I hated the way the blue looked. The blue uniforms looked more like sleepwear than sports gear. Maybe if the jerseys were tight rather than baggy and the shorts had some green in them such as continuing the stripes on the sides it would have helped. But they seriously looked like they just got out of bed whenever the camera was in close. It worked great for long shots though as the guys were a lot easier to track on the field.

I prefer the two tone look over the solid. Green/Green and Blue/Blue both look lame to me.

I agree that the green is hard to see when they're at home and not on an HD channel (FSC)

The green is especially awful on MatchCenter. After all of the compression sometimes they just look like disembodied heads, legs, and feet.

Make the socks blue, and it's good. The alternate kit should be a white jersey, blue shorts, and white socks.

White isn't really one of the Sounders colors though.. How about the "cascade shale" instead of white?
