Honestly, what I care most about is that we do good demos. When I think of my favorite moments ever as a fan of this sport, some of the tifo from 2008 is in there. I have the Barra 2007 poster on the wall at work. I think we can do some glorious stuff; and the USOC final is a great time to do it. Count me in for anything.
Sorta been done already in this year's USOC -- Portland had a giant lumberjack that sawed it in half.
I'm interested in helping with signs and banners. Can we get ahold of some loud, confetti cannons. We could do some wonders with those and a few smoke bombs.
1. I have a large vertical carton (came with a dehumidifier) which we could turn into a TIFO Fund collection box for the LAG game on the 22nd. It measures 24" high, and 15" and 17" on the sides. I could print +------+ | TIFO | | FUND | +------+ in black letters on red landscape 11 x 8 1/2 paper for the sides. Or, one of you more creative folks could make better decoration from wrapping paper and what not. 2. Alternative: We could pass Troy G's hat around. 3. Better alternative: Some creative type could create a larger version of Troy's hat to use as a collection box. Small hole in top so stuff goes in, but not out - sort of like a crab or lobster trap. 4. Maybe next week Oscar could send an email to the membership about TIFO fund raising at the LAG game - so we don't have to explain it to everyone. Could cut and paste from Srdan's initial request. Perhaps add that one person donated $500 and a half-dozen or so donated $100 each, but that we're looking for "$5 and up" from most members. Bob
