Gold Cup Semis & Final viewing in San Diego area

    Alright guys,
Hopefully I'll see many of you at Shakespeare's tomorrow for the Semi, and on Sunday for the final. I want to create a good fan base, for the big game next month (vs. Mex that is). The game starts at 4pm, I think their lunch special ends at 4, so if you want to order the special, make sure you get there before 4pm. First one to get there needs to grab the big table!

Glad to hear you made it home safe. The turnout was... less than average? After seeing almost no one at Shakespeare's on Thursday for the Semi, I decided not to go there for the final. So I don't know how many there were yesterday. On Thursday it was super empty, just myself +2, and a couple of people rooting for the US.

Well I am still in shock but it's time for us to plan the viewing for the big game. We need to find a place with the channel that are showing the game.

    Most bar have direct TV,
It seem like all you have to do is ask,
    Or look it up

    Hey guys,
Anyone up for a viewing party in San Diego area? I know it is on a weekday at 1pm, and some of us are going to the game (I know many have left already). If anyone is up for watching the game together just let me know and we can plan something.

The problem is that Shakespeare's is showing the England- Holland game live at noon that day (with $10 cover). According to them they will be showing the US-Mex match with a TAPE DELAY at 5pm. But I don't want to go there at 5pm to watch the game that has already happened. Since Princess is an English pub I am assuming that they will be showing the England game as well.

Another problem is that we have to find a place that has that channel mun2, (well we can always watch it on telemundo) so if anyone has an idea just let me know. I can call and ask O'Brien's tomorrow to see if they are showing the game and what channel(s) they have. Again if you have any suggestions just let me know!

Obrien's is showng the match live. Myself and some other US fans are going to be there for sure and its ussually a very good atmosphere. The owner has sent out a few emails advertising the game so should be a good crowd.

The Harp is nice and five blocks from my house but still have to support a place where the owner is a big US fan.

Re: USA- Mex San Diego area Viewing Party

O'Brien's was just great, I can't say anything bad about the place. It was packed, mostly US fans (plus a few Mexican fans and some random people having lunch) at a super pro-USA bar owned by a guy who is a super US fan. Can't pick any better place. Parking was a nightmare, but it could have been the same for Shakespeare's or Princess. I talked to the owner and he said he will be showing all US games live. The place is not big so I am going extra early next time.

The owner said that they are applying to be the "official" US soccer bar (US soccer program), so I think we have found THE place.

For those who were there today it was nice seeing you all, and hope to see you guys again for the ES game in September. (well unless I decide to attend the game in SLC!)
