After sensing the demand (and some nagging by some SoB's ;) ) Stoney's Pub in North Wilmington will be open mornings for Premiership matches.

They have yet to update their web site http://www.stoneyspub.com/ with the news yet... but this went up on the bulletin board this week.

Breakfast will be a "British fry up/ full breakfast" per Stoney. Check your wikipedia to see what all is included with that :D

Some good times have been had on Rte 202/ Concord Pike just south of the PA/DE state line.

Owner Mike Stone ("Stoney") has been a good friend to the SoB's for 3 years now.

I hope some of our Delaware & DelCo SoB's can swing on by on Aug 15th to help make this new spot for Live Premiership viewing (FSC/ Setanta USA) a success.

If you can't make it for opening week, we still have 37 Gameweeks to go but opening week of the Premiership is always fun.

Hot damn, good job TommyRo! I'm assuming you will be there next week?

    What about next Wednesday?

@Talleyville The real question is...do the Dark Horse & Stoney's know about each other? (It seems like Stanley's is now the jilted lover. They'll always have lunch.)

It's always good to have friendly places & friendly faces for the long rides home. Just like a well placed Wawa, there is always room for a fun place to stop by in a 24 hour day.

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are now covered.

When the Union starts in 2010, with those late night West Coast matches, we can use as many Pub friends as we can get to make it a 24 hour soccer day :D

Oh wow...that'd be awesome. Start with the 7:45am game, a couple more EPL matches, a La Liga match or two, then an MLS game or two before a 10:00pm Union game.

Holy crap. I will be there in the AM if I don't go to the mountains. I move into my new place in Philly around 5 that night so I will be on the go all day.

I saw that sign Wed when I was there and gave the bartender a nice tip.

Tommy - Unfortunately I will be in Texas next weekend or I would be there but I assume that you will be leading the Gunner cheers (even if they are playing Tim Howard and Everton). FSC games that day are:

10:00 - Aston Villa vs. Wigan (get to see Friedel in action)
12:30 - Everton vs. Arsenal (arguably the best match-up of the EPL weekend)
2:30 - Stoke vs. Burnley (ugh)

They mispelled Premier League, but I'll let it fly because of their progressive attitude toward soccer.:D

Stoney's has a small ad on the front page of today's Wilmington News Journal Sports Section (which typically does not contain ads on the front page) to advertise their Saturday EPL viewing gigs.

Thank God they are fully stocked with the Diageo family of products ( did I mention how much I love Guinness ;)) for me to enjoy.

With this SoB crew showing up early on a Saturday, the Boddington's tap will be gone before noon :D
