Some other equally uncredited reports have the "new owners" as Dubai International Capital. Of the "Dubai buying Liverpool" media parade from last season. I highly, HIGHLY doubt this is the case. This rumor also says it'll be announced Tuesday, for what it's worth.
Now the Chronicle is reporting that there are no buyers.... which is what I have said all along. Llambas is a fraud, and so is Ashley. That being said, I see Ashley going down with the ship rather than selling to Shepherd because he doesn't want to be fleeced twice by Fat Freddy
I dislike and do not trust Ashley and Llambas, but I feel we are stuck with them. There is no way anyone is going to meet Ashley's asking price for a championship club. So get on with it a name a manager, Craver.......Dowie......not Hughton.......lee clark......help what about Gary Speed or that reserve coach we had a season or two ago that was winning and making the reserve team more successful than the senior squad. Reguardless, we are stuck with Ashley.
Reports making the rounds that Ashley offered Kinnear the job again, and even he said no this time. All over the NewsNow RSS feed.
I don't think there is much doubt that Kinnear is telling the truth either. What a joke this all is. It is incredible that one of the supposed reasons the club didn't want to appoint Alan was because the new owners might not want him. Surely the new owners would not want JFK?
Not true. Ask yourself these questions. If you were a billionaire owner that wanted to put in your new coach who would be easier to displace - AS9 or Kinnear? same shoe - different foot As a NUFC fan, what would you think of an owner who's first act of duty was to sack Kinnear? Would your opinion be the same if they decided to sack AS9?
Fair enough, I see where you are coming from. It's a good point that JFK would be easily displaced. Surely though, MA shouldn't have offerred a 2 year contract. I think JFK must have thought of new owners as well when taking this deal into consideration. To put himself into a situation like this while he isn't healthy is a lot to ask.
The news is saying Newcastle businessman Barry Moat is buying the club. The reports talk about him having a corporate box, investing in the academy, and organizing Shearer's testimonial. Anyone else know anything about him? Where is our man on the ground, Russell?
If he has $50 million of his own money I'll eat my own legs and the club needs more loans like a hole in the head.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/8192035.stm Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is reconsidering his decision to sell the club and may opt to remain at St James' Park, BBC Radio 5 live understands. haha .You didnt have to be nostradamus to predict this..
Why does this sound like a drug deal or a hostage situation? Ashley Agrees Price With Moat – Funds Due By Friday The write up on NUFC.com is good as always and has bits from the Guardian. Do we dare get our hopes up and think MA is on his way out? The sad part is that I am not convinced that Moat will be any better.
According to the Daily Mail, if Ashley doesn't sell the club this week/soon. He will appoint O'Leary as manager and will not attempt to sell the club again till 2011. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-wrath-Newcastle-fans-appearance-Reading.html
Was watching SSN and they had David Ginola on for an interview. He talked about wanting to come back to the club and take over as manager. This would seem to fit with Cashely's love of things Spurs.
Ossie Ardiles has also revealed that he would like to manage Newcastle United, this for a second stint. Just like Ginola, Ossie would also fit with Cashley's love of Spurs. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5488215,00.html
Llamaballs has apparently confirmed talks with Barry Moat over the sale of the club. The Telegraph is also reporting that Moat applied to Barclays to borrow all of the required money but they would only provide 70-80m.
