Galatasaray-Juventus CL game postponed one week

    ...because of the security situation in Istanbul.

    Brings to mind the situation a few years back when Juventus travelled to Istanbul under heavy security because of the arrest in Italy of a prominent Turkish rebel leader.

    This seems worse though.

    why don't they just play the match somewhere else out of Turkey!

    the match will be held on 02.12.2003 in westfalenstadion, dortmund. here the statement from the official bvb site:


    Tickets available for Galatasaray v Juventus

    [28.11.] Advanced ticket sales for the Champions League game between Galatasaray and Juventus start this Saturday from 1100 (until 1700) at the Westfalen Stadium. The match takes place on Tuesday, 2 December 1945 GMT at the Dortmund football ground.

    There will be absolutely no sales at other ticket offices, the call center or the BVB office. Requests by email will also not be answered.

    Turkish supporters can purchase their tickets at the box office in front of the Rote Erde Stadium, the Italian fans have to go to the box office in front of the North Stand at the Westfalen Stadium. On Sunday, 30 November, the ticket sales continues from 1300 to 1700. Opening times for Monday and Tuesday will be announced shortly.


    Borussia Dortmund season tickets can NOT be used for this event.
