Oh don't get me wrong I know he's good, but once you get cut by a team you usually find a way to San Jose. ...lately anyway
Saw the interview with Dom at halftime, he seemed to indicate he'd give the Gold Cup guys a rest. That would mean Marshall, Holden, and Beckerman coming out. I'd assume Beckerman plays at least some in the 2nd, as he's at home. I'd like to see Chad come off soon. Marshall should start on Saturday. Casey has looked good so far.
If my life depended on it, and GBS was busy elsewhere, I'd be completely comfortable with Donovan taking a PK to save me. If my needed a safe to save my life, I'd be okay with Tim Howard being my keeper.
Well, Casey did indeed look solid throughout the game, plus he played the full 90 so perhaps he'll be tired when we come to town.
Yeah, Casey proved me wrong. He showed he can be very dangerous, but good thing for us he played the full ninety and we get Chad back.
Casey's asset is clearly his strength, not his speed. I think we'll be fine with him as long as Chad's out there. Of course, he'll probably end up netting two.
I'll third this. Starting to come around on Casey to the point I'm not upset when he's called into Nats camp. Probably prefer him to Ching, at this point, actually. The other guy i thought showed surprisingly well was Davy Arnald (sp?)
Colorado announces Cooke's replacement: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ottish-winger-jamie-smith-release-terry-cooke Jamie Smith http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Smith_(footballer_born_1980)
I think it's meant in the most broad sense of the word. rival: one who pursues the same object as another After all, they are both chasing the same trophies (for the most part), since they play in the same league.
I just figured Colorado was mad at what they had to give up to Toronto, who inexplicably found out they held Smith's rights. And thus a rivalry was born.
Heading out in 30 mins for the Massive road ahead to victory. Bringing a checkered Crew flag and the Championship Crew flag with me, I'd bring my Bash Brothers two stick, but Dicks Stadium policy about poles is a maximum of 3.5 ft.... and I don't really want to break mine up and get new poles... oh well, look for the flags!
Some game previews here: Patrick predicts that Duncan O will start and they sit Rogers: http://anamericangame.wordpress.com/ http://www.dispatch.com/live/conten..._8-1.ART_ART_08-01-09_C2_K6EL4GL.html?sid=101 Personally I feel not a bad idea to rest Chad and Robbie.
This article suggest Robbie will probebly come off the bench if at all: http://columbus.crew.mlsnet.com/new..._id=6172550&vkey=news_coc&fext=.jsp&team=t102
Haha, so who made it out to Denver today? Saw a dude wearing a Crew jersey walk out of the lesbian bar on Colfax when I was walking to go get a bite to eat.
If Robbie is sick, then start Ekpo, he can go his customary 60, then we put Robbie in. ---------Hesmer--------- Dude--Chad--Brunner--Aargghh! ----Carroll---O'Rourke----- Ekpo-----------------Gaven -----Lenhart---Garey------- Subs: Moffat, Rogers, Moreno. Of note: 1 card away from suspension (Good behavior games left) GBS (1) O'Rourke (2) Carroll (3) 2 cards away: Hejduk, Gaven. Our rotational policy may be self policing in coming weeks.
Nope. You dance with the girl you brought.... -------------Hesmer------------- Hejduk--Marshall--Brunner--Padula -------Carroll------O'Rourke------ Oughton------------------Gaven --------Lenhart---Garey--------- If Ekpo can only go 60 at sea level, he'll only be good for 40 tops at altitude. Bring him on at 70' and run them to death for 20 minutes.
