I just got back from the stadium. I don't know how it looked on camera, but Moreno's performance was horrible. Granted Soehn started him with Ange, but even with Emilio up there he had to be subbed out.

If Rodney was a couple years older, we would have looked like a different team. He had a lot of oppurtunities to make somethng happen, but you could tell he still has a ways to develop.

    ¿Dónde están los huevos?

Disgusting and pathetic display. We're going to get destroyed in El Salvador next Tuesday, and crash out of the tournament in the first round. As far as I'm concerned, don't enter the tournament if you don't plan to take it seriously.

And of course, I'm sure we'll have all our starters playing in the game against the Francoistas out at FedEx Field.

Soehn sucks. And the front office is a fricking joke for giving a shit about a bullshit friendly more than they care about meaningful games.

    Wow, that was simply brutal.:(

High School level mistakes in back, more hospital balls than ever before in human history, and enough fixture congestion to keep the older but still better players from having their normal impact. Ugh.

I can't fathom why Danny was moved outside to let much weaker players man the middle until Gomez came in....

First reserve game in league history to make TV??

No urgency at all. Did gomez play in the second half. Mctavish was so terrible out wide in the first half even Soehn could see it and was forced to push Danny out wide.

Jacobson needs to hit the target I think he had 4 open looks from 20-25 yards or so.

Janiki was awful and not just on the play that led to the Goal.

Also is Tino injured i don't understand why he can't play after his one month vacation with the Nats. Having him wide right in the first half would have been a massive improvement.

We know that DC played the B team and showed no respect for the tournament. Does anyone know if Firpo played their A squad?

Was that the really drunk Salvadoran guy who came by both the Barra Brava and Screaming Eagles tailgates?

That was the highlight of the evening.

Oh, and while I'm at it, fire Soehn.

Sign Fabrice Noel. I'm a Palm Beach county homer, but based on the GC, there is no reason he should not still be in MLS,and this team needs speed at forward.

Frankly, I'd rather have Doe back instead of the thoroughly useless N'Silly N'Sulu

Dude/dudette, please learn to quote messages.

Agree 100%. Frustrated as hell right now. I wish I had the opportunity to ask KP and Tom Soehn some questions.

He switched to RM because tMcTavish was getting beaten like a rented mule.

Switching the two of them was an attempt to stop the bleeding.

I'm tired and I should go to bed, but I'm so disgusted and angry at the display at RFK that I know I won't be able to sleep.

The team owes ALL the fans an explanation for that shit out there tonight.

How the hell does anyone in DC United's management justify the way we threw away our chances to advance in this tournament?

Welcome to the revs last year.

First half was great. We won the superliga! And then we failed at the us open cup, and then we had the worst CONCACAF performance in MLS history, and then we ended the season with barely a win.

Looks like DC is following the exact same path.... Except you guys are doing well in the US open cup (ill be at the final)

(Im a revs fan who just recently moved to DC)

OK, I've now managed to get my not-quite-soccer fan husband to two games... the Rochester game and this one. Ha! Poor guy can't figure out why on earth I want to go watch this team. I keep telling him - wait! Sometimes they are good...

Looks like primary focus with the upcoming 2 games is going to be the MLS playoff push

haha! I did the same thing with my father when I took him to a small game to see if he just enjoyed it the way it was (Milwaukee Bavarians). He didn't quite get it, then he got really curious about the US team and we drove to Columbus on 2/11. Standing second row in AO/SA, my father's eye's lit up and he understood...

I'll give him brownie points for staying the full 90 minutes for both. Hopefully soon I can reward his effort with a good game ;)

That game was just a mess. Yuck. What was the point of subbing in Gomez so he could trot aimlessly around? At least Pontius made an effort.

Everyone needs to take a giant step away from the cliff. United has had two off games and I guess thats enough for some people to nearly kill themselves. Every team goes through rough streches. Every team has finishing problems now and again. Yeah the last two games have been poor, but its not the end of the ********ing season. Just chill out and I guarantee if United beats Houston, everyone will be claiming were the best team in the league.

This team is not capable going very deep into the playoffs (if we even make it). This team will not win MLS Cup this season. This team is going to crash out of CONCACAF Champions' Cup, probably next week away to Firpo. We might beat Seattle for the USOC final, but I'm not too sure that's likely either.

The next 3 weeks are ridiculous on the team with the schedule they have. Tonight was crap, this week we will see if we take CCC serious at all by our lineup. But I have a feeling away at Firpo we'll have another B squad out again.

How can our form be terrible when we have no form whatsoever?

Personally I thought I maybe got a quarter price performance on my dollar.

The whole first half we were crap. Nobody was running or hustling. I swear I saw McT walking or half jogging the whole time on the wing. The one cross that Wallace got over to his side landed well in front of him and he took it on a bounce instead of on the fly. It was almost like Soehn told the team to play for a nil-nil tie.

    Tonights player ratings

    Ange -crap
    McT -crap
    Janicki - CRAP
    DiRaimondo - CRAP HACK
Can't believe we started Danny as the AM
    Jaime - almost crap
    Jacobson - almost crap
Can't believe Wallace was leading the attack and shots at or at least towards goal.
I thought Danny was OK as was John Avery (according to the announcer) and Jakovic this game.

Can't believe no starters on this team played with any heart for the shirt in the first half.

What the hell was management thinking?????

It's like they decided to do the minimum they thought we had to get by this one. And those tactics played right into Firpo's hands. They are 3 weeks before their season and aren't at a peak physical level. Yet, we played slow down ball and didn't make them run in the first half. Nobody wanted to attack as a starter. NO ONE! At least Emilio stretched them when he came on.

    UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE.

The only folks that did right by the shirt tonight were the supporters. And that is just plain wrong.

I am blaming the coaching staff. Their rating - FULL OF CRAP

PS we need a new "smilie" for seething mad!

I think people are pissed because the team is not putting the best possible team out there. I know thats what upsets me.

They could of easily played our best 11 and i believe we would have won 3-0 at least tonight, and then play the best available saturday, and then in El Salvador we could of put out a team like tonight.

The tactics we are taking is mind boggling.

How much do you want to bet we'll have all of our first team on the starting against Real Madrid?
