or do what else you do in such circumstances. My son-in-law, Winston, had a real good friend, Greg Owns, KIA in Afganistan last week from IED and small arms. [4Bn, 25th Fld Arty, 3rd Bde, 10th Mountain Div] You all may remember Winston, he's been to a couple of games (lives in Austin) and really enjoyed himself. http://freedomremembered.com/index.php/sgt-gregory-owens-j/ The price of liberty is high indeed! Would that freedom's currency not be our young men and women. Apologies, in advance, if this is the wrong forum. GM
Another tear is shed for a brother in arms. To Greg's family, his brother and sisters who served with him, and Winston, I offer: "------I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom." Abraham Lincoln to Lydia Bixby. I don't drink, but I'll raise a toast with you, Tommy.
Rest in Peace Sgt Gregory Owens Jr., your sacrifice will always be honored and remembered. I'm sorry for the loss and I will offer a prayer and toast. The cowards with an IED will hopefully find a bullet sailing through their cranium. To them nothing but hate.
Thanks to all who stopped by to learn about Greg and to salute his memory. A special form of thanks to Pops for all he does and feels. Both rums were outstanding. GM
R.I.P. Sgt. Gregory Owens Jr., and thank you to all who serve. Freedom comes with a price, your service is priceless.
