I have something we all can sing:

    "We hate LA

    Oh we hate LA"

this last one is the one that had me cracking up all through the Western Final. We Believe?!?! You're the effing #1 seed, not the 1980 US Hockey team, morons. Sad to feel like underdogs at home to KC.

Yeah, and they're even talking of stealing "Si Se Puede" and "We're Scott, You're Laci". Not really high up on the originality scale.

  4. I was so mad/nervous that I even missed the celebration of my 1000th post.

that would be doubly hilarious - since we're not from NoCal, it would be completely meaningless, and so very hypocritical after they bum-rushed Dan Loney for doing it in the first place. Seems like they've got 2 kinds of fans - good, intelligent lovers of the game, and the "hard-core" fanclub, which is a bunch of morons.

And, they're all planning on meeting up by the fountain.

This will remind me of the Wiz fans at RFK :D

Please tell me the Fire fans aren't chanting this. This is horrible and just plain disrespectful. This is a joke, right?

Long story short, Dan Loney had a sign of such at the last playoff game and was ripped up and down in the Rivalries forum. Apparently there is talk of the Quakes fans bringing a sign that says the same thing to the Cup.

    I agree with you.
    It's not funny. It's tasteless.

    1) Are any of them over 16?

    2) Disclosing your meeting place is a good way to get your ass kicked.

Over 100, probably close to 150. That's not including those that didn't go through Tito...

That isn't that bad. And damn, I am going to have to see Jeff twice in like 6 weeks. NY, LA, but no Chicago.

And didn't we have a good time at the last Cup final? Hells and yeah!

Have a final in Chicago and I'd be there. I'm going to try and make the season opener next year as well, depends on what I'm doing at the time.

  18. "That isn't that bad"? I'd say its damn impressive. It'd be one thing if the Cup was in Columbus or KC, but the Cali is a lot farther from Chicago than many other teams' home grounds. 100+ of hardcore supporters is excellent in my book. And God willing, next years final will be close by and the Fire will take this year's trophy, wash, rinse, and repeat.

Good on ya for travelling out there guys, wish I could make it too, desperately, but money's tight (aka "gone") and I'm in the middle of finals. There's my excuse. But never fear, the Arsonists are setting up the sacrificial alter for this one, and MDSC plans on beating up every Californian we come across. We all keep the faith in our own little way I guess.
