    Exactly!

Not that it matters, once the banner is unveiled the whole world will be blown away by the MASSIVEness of it and will forget about both the Mighty Ducks and Nintendo.

I only see Lenhart using it, and it's in response to a question suggesting the name.

I can tell you that Bash Brothers was used throughout the locker room on Saturday. Lenhart used it when talking to the press, and on my audio I can even hear random people yelling it in the background. Plus, a few people in the locker room reminded me to use Bash Brothers in the Notebook. And now I see that Steve used it when speaking to Cornell on video.

    Bash Brothers it is.

I like it...except Lenhart's hair is way better now. Maybe the big hair look would not fit with your caption.:)

Exactly, I guess I should have posted it with the comment that I don't need feed back from people that aren't willing to lend a hand in production. I think bash brothers and I think Mario and Luigi, I don't care what hockey reference it is nor do I care if I'm completely wrong because once Lenhart and Garey see it they'll know whats up.

Didn't know where to stick this and didn't want to start a thread since the Letters to Stein was closed but here is some love from a non-soccer fan. Mention from Light The Lamp, a Blue Jacket blog, about how great is the Nordecke. Read for yourself the whole thing here.

What they're forgetting about is the jock rock aspect of the game. It is almost downright impossible to organically start any chant in that arena. I remember one situation when a "Let's Go Jackets" was organically started, then the organ came in and literally drowned the fans out.

Unfortunately, I don't see a "Nationwide Nordecke" even having a chance until the gimmicks, organ, and jock rock die out. Dean Wormer said it best. The chances of that happening are "zero. point. zero."

The thing that gets me though is that after the CBJ games, you have a few fans with their hands lowered over the tunnel in hopes of a hi-five from a player. Very few players (even after wins) do it. How hard is to raise your hand up to a fan's hand when you're walking right past them?

A few years ago, DC fans tried an organized night at a Capitals game. IIRC, it was more of a disaster than a success.

One of the things I really like about MLS is the openness of the players. If they're not signing autographs in the stands, or throwing jerseys into the stands, they're in the stadium club after the game. After last week's game, almost every player and coach was in the stadium club. How often would that happen at an MLB, NHL, NBA game?

the NHL's market, expecially in Columbus, is the rich, yuppy type.

college students are priced out. especially over the course of 40 games. they advertise season tickets starting at $18 per game. 18x41 games=$731

what raucious college student has that kind of dough?

I agree, but there are a few offers.

You can get 10 and 20 game plans starting at $190. This is still a bit pricy, though.

Rush CBJ. But even with this deal, you need a bit of good luck.

They also had a Chipotle offer last year, for a lower section.

There was also the $10 "Green Seats" which yeah, they're the last couple rows in the upper level behind the goal, but at least you're in the building.

That doesn't include things like the "ticket and buffet" deal, or the various other offers.

Rush CBJ -- Starting one hour before the game (I don't know if it's all games or some), but it's heavily discounted tickets in either the lower bowl or upper bowl. Buyer chooses price level, and you get the best available.

Green Seats -- Yeah, it gets you in the building. They're not really good seats if you want to be close to the action, but at $10, why complain? They're actually a bit closer to the ice than the more expensive seats at the other end of the building. The only downside for a college student is that the line can start building very early, especially for the big games. $10 tickets for Pittsburgh went on sale at 5 PM, but people started to gather around 10 AM...not good if you have to attend classes.

When Lenhart and Garey see it they'll probably think you're an idiot. Super mario?

Did you miss the part where he said he wasn't interested in the opinions of people not interested in helping with costs and production?

Bash Brothers could be The Mighty Ducks or The Mario Brothers. Theres also the McGwire/Canseco thing, but I doubt thats what they were going for. If I had to make a guess, I'd say they were going for the Might Ducks, but I'm not the one putting in the time/money/effort(I could do the time and effort thing if you needed help- money, not so much). So if someone decided to make a Mario one and someone else decided to make a Mighty Duck one, and at the end of the game ask which they meant, I'm guessing Steve would say something to the effect of "oh, dude, thanks, it really doesn't matter bro. yea, sweet"

I'd like to point out that i have never once had anyone take the time to come up with a sign, buy the supplies to make the sign, and hold it up for me, all because they watched me do something for an hour and a half one night.

THAT said....i have to believe if Lenhart and Garey see someone holding up a sign for them, they're going to be thrilled that someone bothered to take the time in the first place, regardless of if the metaphors are a bit mixed.

Jesus H. Christ on a pogo stick, some of you need to dislodge your private areas from the vacuum cleaner, turn off the computer and walk around in the real world for a couple of minutes.

I fully support Blake's Bash Brothers.

I fail to see where it makes any sense to post something like this. Were you trying to say that I'm an idiot for putting in time in effort on something to celebrate two of our players? Or do you simply want to call me out on something? In either case f|_|ck you.
