Lead story for the KC Star in Sports section THURSDAY should be US victory over Spain...

Will it make page 1 or be shoved back with a paragraph on page 8?

 

My prediction is Royals above the fold, USA below the fold or 2nd page. You are correct, it should absolutely be the lead story.

 

Since I'm not in KC, please let me know where they put the story.. It was at the top of page 1 of sports in the Washington Post. And a picture leading to the story on Page 1 of the paper...

 

I don't actually subscribe to the paper, but looking at kansascity.com it doesn't bode well. There is no mention of the game AT ALL on the online edition. I'm guessing when I do find a paper it will be buried way back.

 

It was online last night. Had to scroll way down for it. I've noticed that for some reason the Star online resets at midnight and comments are deleted and some articles are moved back while some are bumped to the front. When I went back this morning (shortly after midnight), the game was all but gone.

 

There's mention of it, it's just buried in the Sports section below articles about the NBA draft, other MLB scores, college baseball, and an article about a plan for playoffs in college football being sacked. Not that I'm surprised by that though.

It's online. It was posted at 10:53 p.m., and there have been like, 13 stories published since then, so it gets pushed down.

 

In the version that I received this morning the picture behind the Sports Daily banner was of the second goal with a l small blurb saying the score and that the story was on page 2.

On page 2 it was center top. The story was from the AP.

that'd be awesome for our club's public image... especially on top of the sexual harassment lawsuit against ongoal a little while ago. speaking of that, did that get settled out of court or what?

Reads like there was some type of settlement.

 

At the risk of sounding sexist, since this was at least her second such suit that was probably her objective from the get-go.

 

I think that's more cynical than sexist.

And I don't disagree it...
