Top scorers last season by league (in order according to UEFA league coefficient) 1. Forlan 2. Anelka 3. Ibrahimovic 4. Grafite 5. Gignac
Amusing how Eto'o led the scoring charts for virtually the entire season only to be leapfrogged by Forlan on the last matchday.
It was laughable how 'un-clinical' Eto'o was at the end of the season given how many chances he was getting. The away match at Mallorca (2-1 loss) on the third to last match of the season was the epitome of missing chances for Eto'o. It was all well and good when he scored in the CL final though

Ibrahimovic should be nowhere near the top 5. He rarely shows up on the big occasions and IMO he is a lazy player - rarely tracks back to get the ball and rather like Anelka sulks when he is playing badly and his performances are affected by this.
And yet he somehow still managed to score 30 goals last season, Inter must play a lot of small, meaningless games.
man the ibra hate here is really silly. So he sucks and is lazy, and yet he has been the only creativity Inter has had last 3 seasons. (which was enough to win the Serie A 3 times btw) Hate the man, but dont degrade his football skills.
1) Villa (probably one of the world's most underrated players) 2) Eto'o (fantastic goalscorer for many years) 3) Forlan (arguable, but he deserves a mention after this past season) 4) Higuain (this one is admittedly more based on projected valuation) 5) Ibra (good player, but not as prolific as a goalscorer as the others, and I doubt he ever will be, I personally think he's a player that will be most dangerous with a mobile no. 9 by him)
So.....why does Barca want Eto'o to leave? I never understood...I can't see their rationale for preferring Ibra, unless they want his physicality up front...
- Ibrahimovic is a better player. - Eto'o's (apostrophe hell!) heart has never been at Barcelona. - They have young strikers coming through, so no need for Ibra and Eto'o.
uh...on what basis is Ibra a better player? Eto'o is pretty clearly the better striker. young strikers...like who?
IIRC, at that point Villa had more goals in one season than Drogba in two.... EDIT: actually n/m, that was the year before.
Factoring in other contributions to the team should be used as a "tie-breaker" when judging strikers, otherwise the main focus, is of course on putting the ball in that net.
