I don't get it--what does Chivas USA get in return?

I think the writer needs to edit this piece to say CUSA.

Both of these players will be in the expansion draft or waiver draft then end up in USL2. Pretty much a non news story, trading crap for crap. What has anyone ever seen in Atiba Harris? I don't get it!

If you've already got Jesse Marsch and Paulo Nagamura, what in the world do you do with Saragosa? Bad trade for Chivas.

Atiba Harris is in that "select" group of MLS players who can run awfully fast but not do much else. He's a lot like Calen Carr, Chad Barrett, or Dane Richards. Most USL teams have 2 or 3 just like him.

Chad Barrett does not deserve to be in this list.

    Throw in Khano Smith.

No way. Chad Barrett has blown more scoring opportunities than Leisure Suit Larry.

This might be the most uninspiring trade in league history.

But he's not fast or a winger. He's not even close to the same type of player as Atiba Harris, Dane Richards or Calen Carr.

C'mon, who doesn't get all tingly over two teams' swapping their garbage?

All of those guys at one time or another pretended to be forwards. CUSA moved Atiba to the midfield because he's pretty useless around the goal.

That's great, let's trade away another forward who has actually scored this season.

Looks like Justin Braun's PT is going to ramp up.

    Ugh.

Dallas thinks that by acquiring the player who commits most fouls per minute, they might make their team interesting.

    They get rid of Harris.

This move will mark Harris' fourth team won't it? RSL ("Send him to the hospital", or something like that), New England, Chivas, and now Dallas.

As DoctorD wrote, the man is a foul machine...and a fast one, at that.

With Harmes and Saragosa coming in to Chivas-lite, it's pretty obvious that Precki is trying to corner the market on ex-LAG players.

What's next, a move to Pasadena?

I'm just baffled by the need for 8 Defensive Mids. Preki and Hamilton are absolute crap.

Attiba Harris never played for New England, though we once had a Wolde Harris who actually scored goals.

Actually, the first iteration of the article in the original post had this as a trade between FCD and RSL, and I saved the author some blushes.

    Saragosa and Nagamura, together again!

Harris can be maddening for games on end, but then put together one of the best performances in the league in a particular week. It's funny he's headed to Dallas, though, as I seem to recall a couple of particularly nasty collisions which he visited on Dario Sala.
