I never thought about the Copa Del Rey. But with Real Madrid investing something like 200M in players this season They will want to fight for every trophy. So will Barca. It will be difficult! We have signed four players so far: Carlos Garcia on loan from Almeria -- with option to buy next year. Iriney on loan from Almeria -- with option to buy next year Stephan Sunny on loan from Valencia -- with option to buy next year Nasief Morris (almost signed) -- From Panathanikos. loan with option to buy. Lopera is taking the cheaper alternative obviously with all these loan signings, but what else can we do? We are in the Segunda so it's not easy to attract good players to our squad.

The pre-season started yesterday with 33 players in the hunt for 23 spots when the season starts in late August. The pre-season is once again being held in Montecastillo outside of Jerez. Betis will not sign anyone else until they reduce their current 33 player headcount. Pepe was wrong to criticize Emana. He was the only player last season who actually DID something useful for this team. I have a feeling he will go to Valencia FC. And those 4 players named captains are easily our worst players, and are better off playing in Segunda B. I think Odonkor will be a key player for us this year if he stays healthy. He is having a very good preseason. And maybe we can sign a few more players on loan (Im not sure if there's a limit), but we need a left midfielder and another striker.
