Dynamo fan at Botafogo's training center in Rio de Janeiro.

One of the socer news sites that I check has this piece about a youth team from Atlanta, Fusion Forsyth, sending some kids to train with Botafogo's youth program in Rio. Botafogo is one of the big clubs in Rio.

One of the kids is wearing a Dynamo jersey:

    I was happy at both.

I forgot to say that when we were in line to get on the ferry to go to Liberty and Ellis Islands some guy walking buy yells "HOUSTON DYNAMO!". I was taken way off guard.

Mrs 503 and I went last year - man what a total pain (security wise that is) - about the only thing they didn't do was a rectal exam.

Money saving hint - If you don't want to pay the admission fee, make advance reservations, and spend what seems like a couple of hours going through a couple of security checks - Take the Staten Island Ferry for free - great view of Liberty Island

I figured someone else would hit the Space Needle, so I stood up for the orange at Seattle's other landmark.

Just want to say I met a couple of your orange clad brethren up here on Saturday and they were all class acts. Please feel free to make the trip up again.

I liked there for 18 and only got as far as Ellis Island-we were too cheap to buy the full fare all the way to Liberty Island

We were in Ireland and Scotland over the last 2.5 weeks, and made a quick run over to Ibrox one windy morning a couple of days ago.

I will have to get some photos of me in my Dynamo shirt in my normal day around Australia, the only one I have is of it is the one I took just after I purchased it.

Move (to San Antonio) happens on February 16 - now that visa needs to hurry up and come through!

Australia to San Antone? wow, at least the landscape kind of looks the same. Any chance you could find me a fat boy (Aussie XLs are like US Mediums) AFL Guernsey (any team-Collingwood preferably) for cheap over there and bring it over here. My in laws live in Kerrville so I pass through SA a lot-we could hook up and make the swap. I'd trade you a Dynamo jersey, but since you'd be here, they won't be that hard to come about.

Bah a pox on Collingwood, why would you like them?! I'm an Adelaide Crows fan my self (like a true boy from NSW, I don't like the Sydney Swans).

I might be able to work something out. I already have a Dynamo strip though - the 08 season, with the star & scudetto. I would certainly feel very dirty buying a Collingwood guernsey, sure you wouldn't prefer an A-League strip?

I doubt I'd be able to get anything cheaper than you would tbh, prices on sports merch. here are insane - the Dynamo strip is the cheapest strip I own! I actually look for all my football (soccer) kits on US sites because they'll be cheaper, and Soccer4all have a ludicrous range of stuff!
