  1. Peter, I think a pre-game party would be GREAT! Thank you for another wonderful season.

    Peter,
I distinctly remember the Riot Squad having a gathering before and after the game I went to. I don't know what the definition of "tailgate" is, I'm not sure if they had food or not, but there was beer.

Not a bad idea, might take the place of a party late Sat night like we were talking about last night.

I'd be up for it...sort of a Fire fan breakfast. I'll get ahold of you.

Absolutely great idea. And if it could be at/near to the HDC that would totally rock. An opportunity to get "warmed up" for the match. (And it's not like it's early in the morning - the match doesn't even start until 2:30 our time.)

    Let's do it!

Sounds like a good plan. What can we do to arrange it?

Additionally, an idea occured to me today and was brought up again in a message Andy Braudy left me on my voicemail while at the Butler match - can we set up some sort of team/fan sendoff party some night early this week? Ginger's might be good, or somewhere where everyone going or not to LA can see off all the players, fans, staff, etc. headed to The Land of Smog.

    Good idea? Yes/no?

Departure party to see the team off is good.

Saturday night post-party might not be a bad idea (though Hollywood Billiards looks interesting and I'm probably going to see a show first anyways).

    Pre-Cup party sounds good too.

    But I'm just one vote.

I think a pre-game get together is not just a great idea, but a necessity. We need to come together before we enter the stadium.

With the send-off, that is a great idea, Liam.

What about everyone meeting at the Hollywood Billiards after the gala, and if it sucks, we find somewhere else to go all together?

I don't know that I will be at all involved with the organized MLS events as I am being hosted by an old High School Friend. I am up for any section 8/fire fan gatherings though.

What is this about a send off get together? The team is leaving onTuesday. Are we talking about sending them off or just the fans who are going???

Great idea. We'll need to get ourselves properly prepared for 90 minutes of non-stop singing.

I was also wondering about post-game festivities. How many people will be sticking around after the game? Or is everyone flying home immediately?

That's basically the idea. Flying by the seat of our pants is not always a bad thing :)

I'm hanging out in Carson until around 8 or so, I believe, flying out at 10-ish.

There will be a prematch breakfast psuedo-tailgate party WITH ALCOHOL at the HDC exclusively for Fire fans.

I'm coordinating details and will have more info later. Unfortunately, it probably will cost 10 bucks a head or so but I'll see what I can do.

This is FANTASTIC. Count me in for three. (I have to get to the HDC at 10a anyway to pick up the tickets from will call)

How about the evening before? We won't get to the Hilton until 6 or 7.

Go to the Supporters' Bash in Hollywood. I still think we should try to do a Fire Fans' thing after but it'll be easier if everyone comes and then we can fly by the seat of our pants a bit. We can all leave early if it's uberlame.

So when does the team leave? Is the sendoff thing possible?

They all said they were leaving Tuesday. Don't know when though or what airline.

Breakfeast sounds good to me. Nice work Liam.

Depending on what time they leave I could make it to the airport to send them off. I did it in 1998 and I'll do it again. Damn it, I was one of two people who did it in 1998!

Sweet! Count me in for at least two, possibly all four, depending. How are we going to weed out the non-Fire? :D
