lol, freddy dribbles the ball.....dribble dribble dribble, right into a player and loses the ball. PASS IT YA PUTS, damn.
No one cared the first two times you mentioned it. Why would we care the third? Get over it. I'm not an Eagles fan but they're there. You go, bring your own banner.
If we lose this one, we'll most likely have to beat Canada in the Quarters. They've been doing pretty well in a strong group so far, while all we've managed so far is manhandle Grenada...the team from a nation of 90,000 people.
Why? There is taking chances, and there is being an idiot. The whole value of an attack oriented lineup against Costa Rica was completely negated by the use of hyper raw players out of position at LB, and hopelessly young and not ready at RB. Whatever value there was in the lineup/formation (and I'll tell you that I saw the value in the design of the MF and forwarbs) was completely negated by playing Wynne and DMB as outside backs. It required midfielders to focus more on defense than the attack to cover for the liabilities and when they didn't disaster could ensue (as we saw early on Torres side), and it required the center backs to constantly play out of position to cover for the twin liabilities to either side of each of them. It was an incredibly idiotic idea, and today's lineup isn't anywhere near that ill advised, it's just designed to be anemic. You can't plug in the sluglike pace of Ching, and the middling speed of Adu at forward and expect them to put any pressure on Honduras, Adu should be in the midfield, Pause should be back with his MLS team and Davies should be partnering up top with the not good enough Ching. Its one thing to give players experience, it's another thing to give players experience when they have no future at this level. I'm not sure what the point is in having Pause out there. I'd say the same about Beckerman but Bradley views him as the best option in that position after Bradley, Clark, Edu and Mastro, so it was inevitable and tonight he isn't that off, he's been alright, if not particularly helpful.
