For anyone out there that is paying attention-where's 11.2. I can't get it on any of TVs-I keep getting a no signal error. I have always got good reception for 11.2, anyone else having a problem getting it? What channel is TelaInforma?

I can't get the channel when I normally get a very strong signal-I tried multiple tvs around the house. Is it me or there something wrong with the transmitter?

I'm getting the same problem at my house too. Only TV tested so far, but the one I started with usually gets the best signal.

The signal for 8.X is also down, but the rest of the locals seem fine, for what ever that's worth.

So this is not looking good-if I go to the Mezz (I really don't want to drive anywhere after going 18 holes and BBQing for the family) will they have a feed?

If I stay here and get the match off Match Center, wouldn't I be screwed too, since they take the local feed correct?

    CRAP!!!!

is there anyone around town that is getting a signal?

Reset? No idea what you're talking about. I'm still not getting signal. TV informa is Ch43, which isn't on Dish and doesn't have a 43.1 repeater. I'm getting ready to call KHOU now.

I may endup watching the USA game.

KHOU had the normal out-of-hours message, but I'm trying the double-rescan now (rest?) and will let yall know in a minute. It's going to take about 10 minutes total.

The double rescan didn't get it, but it did bring in 43.1, which has the game. Oh, after the double rescan I got 8.X and 43.X amongst others but lost 13.X.

Just as weird as can be...

I'm glad that you were able to finally see the game. Just wanted to let you know that yes, we are always able to show the game. We have Direct Kick, which is showing all of the 11.2 "only" games.

Try this website - input your address and zipcode and it will tell you the kind of antenna you need to receive the signal and also the compass direction that you need to point it to.

I have a feeling that compass direction might be more important when it comes to receiving digital channels.

And according to that site, I can't get 11.2 no matter what kind of antenna I have. At least I assume that's what it means, it doesn't list 11.2 at all.:mad:
But I did get it before the big digital conversion.

I think you are all having problems because you are looking for Eleven-Point-Two (11.2) when you need to be looking for Eleven-DOT-Two (11.2), since for some reason KHOU insists on their talent calling a decimal point a "dot" :D

The more I think about this and the longer it goes on, the madder I'm getting. Early in the season, before June, I could get 11.2 and didn't think it was that big of a deal, though at the time other people were already having problems getting the channel. Back then Channel 11 was all proudly pimping the Dynamo and Chris Cannetti was coming onto MyDynamo to explain what a great thing it is, and how easy it would be for everyone to get it. If you went to the game you could get back home and catch the replay, or if you were out of town you could see it Sunday night.

Now there are more and more people I find that can't get 11.2, and like I said, I used to get it but it's not here anymore, not matter what I do. I've written letters to Channel 11 and been ignored. Neither Chris nor anyone else with the Dynamo respond to the threads on MyDynamo about not getting the channel. I got the games just fine when they were on 55 through DishTV, and could record them and everything. I recorded practically every game from the first 3 seasons. Life was great back then, you don't know what you've got till it's gone. Now it seems I either go to the game or I can't see it. I'm paying for the MLS games on MLSnet but the last game had the KC feed which sux.

After our success over three years, we should be getting better tv coverage, not worse. I don't see why 11 can't rebroadcast the games on the main channel, even if it's latenight.

    A couple of comments:

    1) The production of the games and the other programming is better on 11.2 than on 55 as we are now able to go more than one half of soccer without a technical difficulty or other glitch that forces us to watch the Steve Harvey show

    2) Dynamo All-Access condensed to an hour is a positive, but I kind of miss the old Soccer Hour show since they had some post-game interviews and segments with Dom that were different. I suppose they think the postgame show covers that each broadcast.

    3) Sounds like the digital switch may have screwed up some things in terms of signal and/or coverage. From a carriage standpoint, I know a pretty good sized group does not have Comcast but has Dish or Directv or Uverse and they probably should have thought that thru a bit more before jumping. They did put some games on FSN. Never underestimate the laziness factor of the casual fan to not work that hard to get 11.2.

It does boggle the mind that they have Uverse as a pretty big sponsor but Uverse customers can't watch the games on Uverse. My guess is that KHOU wants $$ for the services to carry 11.2 and they don't want to pay. Its kind of like Budweiser sponsoring BYU football:rolleyes:

    4) The reality is that the Dynamo wanted to step up from a channel that carries Reno 911 and 21 Jump Street to a network-affiliated station and probably didn't have many options. IIRC, this was more of a one-year trial deal than a multi-year deal to start, as the Dynamo were not getting a rights fee but splitting profits with KHOU. Watching the RSL game on Direct Kick, I think they have the same deal to be on the .2 channel of the CBS affiliate there.

Long-term, this is a positive move but maybe some of the execution in season 1 is a challenge.
