We're playing the Wiz (Taste the Rainbow!) on the USA's 233rd birthday! Game starts at 8. It's on the fractional channel (11.2). It's on some radio stations, too.

We were absolute crap last night, let's hope we get it together this time.

Stu and Chinger gone with the USA, Hainault gone with Canuckistan.

Art Vandaley can come fix my post if it doesn't suffice, but I don't want to talk about the LA game anymore, so let's start talking about this one!

I gave the USOC all of the attention Dom has deemed it worthy of.

So I'm guessing we field this:

    -----Weaver--Kamara--
    ---------Davis-------
    Ashe-------------Mullan
    ---------Clark--------
    Chabala-Bos-Cameron-Mulrooney
    ---------Onstad---------

It will be nice to have Clark back. Hopefully this will be better than Sunday's debacle.

Danny Cruz is back from Egypt. It would be nice if he got some playing time (maybe as a sub???)

Yea, you know I'm a fan of his. Hopefully he'll get to play in Austin too.

For those of you coming to the Texian Army watch party at Mezzanine Lounge, I wanted to let you know about an event we'll be having that day & evening. Bring 3 items of non-perishable food for the Houston Food Bank & get All You Can Eat food on the patio. I'll be starting the grill at 2pm and will keep going until the food runs out. I've bought a lot of food, so I expect to be grilling through the Dynamo game. Patio games will include beer pong & washers.

I just talked to a friend of mine from around here who said he's in KC and is going to go to the game.... funny he's never been to one down here. I'm jealous. After Austin I'd been thinking about making the drive up there but didn't go.

Will be up in my article later, but Weaver and Barrett are out for the game....

    -----Kamara-----Oduro------
    ----------Mulrooney----------
    --Davis---------------Mullan--
    ----------Clark---------------
    Chabala--Boswell--Cam--Waibel--
    ----------Onstad------------

Is what I would expect with Ashe, Ade, Ustruck, Hayden, Cruz, Hall and James on the bench.

What the hell are you talking about?

The only time that Houston has probably ever played 11 men behind the ball, was on the road against Pachuca two years ago in the Champions' Cup. Other than that, the team plays very sound defense first soccer, but attacks pretty well on the road.

Am I missing something here? Is there some smiley face I didn't see?

Your own Glen Davis just wrote an article about the exact same thing in the Houston Chronicle.

link? Maybe I am missing it, but I see Glenn taking about Mexico, but I don't see what you are referring?

IN his blog he mentions that Houston doesn't play defensively like most teams do that travel to KC. ?

    From the blog.......
    COMMUNITY AMERICA BALLPARK
The minor league baseball facility is small and the Wizards generally have to play against teams that come in to defend deep.
Can’t see the Dynamo doing that so maybe the Wizards will be relieved to find a team that will attack in postage stamp like stadium. The ball can get in to penalty areas very quickly like at Robertson Stadium.

Hopefully Houston can take advantage of this situation..with Kamara & Oduro ( Ade ) , we can get some goals..and Rico in the midfield, with Cameron at the defense, we should be good. I hope Ade can get some playing time. I thought Ade goal at Austin was a good one..see how fast Ashes got to the ball and score the goal. ( who took the field goal shot ? )
Something that been bothering me..will E.Robinson be as good as he is before his injury ..should we gave more playing time to JJ :)?
