Cassilas never saw the ball until it was too late. I love the masss exodus of fans followed by them filing back into the stadium moments later.

South Africa got away with handling in the box.

Xavi Alonso returns the favor on his own free kick. Spain takes the lead again.

Spain is fortunate to miss their own attempt at a handball and the brilliant free kick makes it 3-2 in the second extra time period.

    Final
    Spain 3 South Africa 2

I must say this Confederations Cup has made me really anxious for the start of the next World Cup. I think I need to start stockpiling alcohol and ibuprofen before the world shortage when everybody hears these horns though.

I am surprised that ESPN did not cut into the game with their baseball coverage! :D

Did anyone think that those horns would have been a sound investment?

I nearly fell out of my seat when they were transitioning to Baseball Tonight.
The Black owned South African company that makes them is making out like bandits right now.:p I wonder if they'll get paid off to not make more for the World Cup. Are they publicly traded?

Those horns remind me of the Cotton Bowl in the early years of MLS.

    Those were NOT the days.

Which was worse. The Cotton Bowl with the horns, or Dragon Stadium?

I just looked at one of my monitors and the US women pole vaulters are making me cry. Something about onions... damn.

Yes, that's all I have right now because I don't have anything to say about that other event going on right now.

Just as Bradley had to learn to stop playing Beasley, now Bradley has to learn to stop playing Kljestan. My god he's awful; and he's been awful for a while.

Bradley had a senile moment, letting Brazil play with fresh legs for 15 minutes. Hopefull he learned something from that.

No shame in losing to a Brazil team who wanted it more in the end.
