Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] B4 this game, Egypt thought that it's gonna be an easy game for them...USA plays much better ...Landon should shoot more....
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] what he said!!!!!!! man that first one by donovan we would all be palming our hands at half time
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] Well, this 2nd half will be Bob's biggest test since taking over the USMNT. He knows what is at stake at this moment. Though it probably takes someone as tactically blind as him not to notice that the game is ripe for scoring many goals.
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] I think the mob "suggested" that the U.S. not score goals. Or at least that's what I'd like to believe after seeing various American players absolutely refuse to shoot the ball during this tournament.
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] Better first half overall. Davies showed great composure on the goal and donovan has been creating chances. Dempsey has been terrible and should come off. Italy down 3-0 to Brazil, are the quarter finals calling our name?
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] Bob will want his midfield replacement to stay 90 percent of the time next to Guzan. Torres or Freddy = that aint gonna happen. Meaning no sub.
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] i know this forum is for people to freely exchange information about soccer but are you really adding anything by posting 3-0 brazil! or 3-0! or 'brazil scores again' ? there's like 4 pages on this thread by people just posting the brazil italy score. yes we get it, they scored. in fact, espn already tells us as soon as someone scores in the other game. so whats the point of posting about it 1 second after you saw it on tv, if pretty much everyone else on here saw it at the same time you did?
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] You are wrong. Egypt go up on GD. And they are ahead of Italy on GS 4-3 heading into play today. But GD is the first tiebreaker: Egypt = -1. Italy -2.
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R] I said this after seeing the line-up that Bob had out, although it's a shame it had to take two bad games against Italy and Brazil before we saw it. Although Egypt didn't respect our game in about the first 15 mins, the team still showed that they were up for the task and Egypt were forced to respect them. Good preparation and that should go down to the management. Talks of lockeroom problems are unfounded on this evidence. (Please don't crucify me for giving the management kudos)
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] I don't think Clark is up to much at all, he's not been as bad as Bornstein, who quite frankly been very poor in eveey aspect. I think USMNT seems a step to far for Clark though, Edu would be much better there when he comes back from injury.
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] The danger now is if Egypt make defensive subs and bunker for the second half. I don't think we can break them down if that happens. They had to come out attacking early because they couldn't trust that Brazil would beat Italy. But right now, as long as we don't score two more on them, they're through, so they can actually afford to bunker.
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] Adu should come in for Dempsey (who keeps making stupid plays and is lazy) and Torres for Bradley.
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R] If we don't make up the goal differential, any chance Bob leaves? If so, who are the candidates? Dom Kinnear?
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] GET JOZY OFF THE FIELD! Good lord, does this guy have a lead foot or what?! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss Brian Ching. However, seeing as he isn't available, I think the best option is to put Dempsey in Altidore's spot and Feilhaber replaces Altidore: Dempsey--Davies Donovan-Bradley-Feilhaber Clark Bornstein-Gooch-Demerit-Spector Guzan
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] If anyone needs a link http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/8085290.stm
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] Even with this win, we could not make it through to semi...but a good win is accepted...
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] Adu has to come on at half-time. I think Clark has played well, but Torres need to see the pitch. Maybe Torres for Dempsey now and Adu on for Altidore in the 60th?
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] i think dempsy has played sme pretty good balls. like that pass through to mi bradley. also the through balls across the field to davies and donovan...don't just listen to harkes complain and agree with him
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] Can't see that happening, I think Egypt are still going to try to get a result.
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] Ahh, didn't know Brazil had scored a third. Thanks.
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] I'm happy with Clark for now. I'd prefer Torres going in for Dempsey, and Adu on a little later for one of the forwards, my vote going to Altidore right now.
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] hey troll they say brazil scored for ppl WHO DONT HAVE A FEED!! so ******** off kindly...
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R] We still need Brazil to score at least one more goal, 2 would excellent. The US is not getting through on 1 goal, so I agree with everyone that is asking for Adu and Torres to be subbed in! SCORE SCORE SCORE!!!
Re: USA - Egypt PBP Thread, Confederations Cup[R to include Italy-Brazil] I'd agree with Jozy. He's been pretty quiet here.
