Plastic horns must die! That's got to be the most annoying sound ever. Mars an otherwise sublime spectacle that is Spain.

Ramos can be quite good when he is bothered to play. A lot of times he seems to just go through the motions though.

Is that the linesref from Egypt?

Killed 2 clear runs to the goals for us without any reason.

Spain now unbeaten in their last 33 internationals (30 victories, 3 draws).
Brazil currently hold the record for the longest unbeaten run having gone 36 matches without defeat (December 1993-January 1996).

La Furia have also now won their last 13 internationals in succession.
They are one victory away from equalling the record of 14 held by three countries:
    Australia (October 1996- November 1997)
    Brazil (June 1997-December 1997)
    France (March 2003-March 2004)

The only way we don't get that one is if we implode like the good old days, the unbeaten run will be tougher with us having to equal it by winning against Italy or Brasil, and trying to improve it against the other. But I believe.

this game could have been 10 or 11 if Spain had wanted it to be. They really took the foot off the pedal, and the linesman denied Spain at least 2 goals. Also, for those watching in the US, horrible announcers on ESPN. What happened to Derrick Rae? The guy said that the average age of Spain was 31, then the other guy had to correct him and say the oldest player (Puyol) is 31. He also said "it looks like Iker Casillas is going to wear the armband today", when idiot knows that he is always the captain. He also didn't seem to have the slightest idea who Riera or Cazorla were. It was truly torture to listen to them.

Yeah, the ESPN coverage of the GREATEST DAMN SPORT THERE IS is absolutely insulting. Not to mention they always have the stupid tickers and other things in the way - I don't see that with other broadcasts. Certainly not with NBA games!

Derek Rae and the onionbag were announcers on the earlier South Africa vs. Iraq game.

That's why you should've watched on Univision with the Spanish commentary. They can be annoying at times, but at least they get their facts straight and they actually do have knowledge of the game... just a suggestion
