IMPORTANT: At the last home match (Jersey, a week and a half ago), Gabriel borrowed one of the two big Barra grills, with Oscar's blessing. Can an elder please call Gabriel and check if the grill has been returned to the Pod; and if not, make sure that it's back to the Pod/Lot 8 before 3:30pm Saturday (tomorrow) please?
Piss on the Fire! ******** Blanco that no neck piece of shit. ******** CJ Brown, I hope someone spits on him again. ******** Rolfe, ******** McBride, ******** them all. This is for first place in the East, let's ********ing do this tonight.
I probably won't be rolling in untll between 2:15 to 2:30. And I won't make that unless I get off this computer and get moving. Got some rum to buy
anyone know if Avery John is match fit? I know he got injured against Costa Rica while on duty for TnT.
Barra brought it tonight. Well done, everyone. The rum isn't always welcomed, though, as Barra rejected my Captain Morgan at the Toronto game.
Would you like to try to lead? If a song is rolling and everyone's bouncing, we're going to keep it going. As much as I dislike the monotone sound of Dale Cavese, it got everyone moving tonight, and it seemed like we were all into it. That song may have run long a time or two, but so what?
HK was in full form! Thanks for the Vol's! PISS ON THE FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~worm~ HarDCore!
Lots of folks jumped in to help, both in prep, cooking and in clean-up. It's just great when you keep hearing people asking "what can I do next?" And Chris' leadership is irreplaceable.
Only thing I could ask the good Vol's was..""find a BEER!"" Chris' as always was Top Notch! 1-red card cooker... down and we still brought it!!!!!!!!!!! ~worm~
If a chant is going, and the crowd is into it, you don't stop it. That's just an opportunity to lose involvement and momentum. There was a match a couple of years ago, I can't remember the opponent, but it was one of the first matches where we did the song "Ohhhhhhh U-ni-teeeeeed . . . .United, United, Vamos U-ni-teeeeeeed." That song. Anyway, we started it around the 80th minute or so, and it got into a zone, and everyone was doing it -- it was as if everyone was in some kind of trance, except with tons of energy, belting out that song. And it went on to the end of stoppage time, and it was fabulous. Sure, at one level, it got old; but everyone was into it, and everyone *stayed* into it, and it was awe inspiring.
It was great to have a lot of help tonight. When people needed a break, there were folks to step in. Worm and Gabriel both deserve special credit for sweating up a storm in front of the grills tonight. Tonight I'm as tired as I've ever been after a match, and I wouldn't change a thing.
sorry i coudn't put the only barra grill on my pick up csuse of my back been out but is any of the barra brava wanna b's can help me load it i'll b happy to take it.thanks
My guess: folks that went to Molly's *before* going to the Pug ended up staying at Molly's. I've been in your shoes for that reason more than once. My excuse: I got home to take a shower before going to the Pug; and after sitting down for a little while, suddenly got completely fscking exhausted. A combination of giving every last bit I had in support of the team last night, and being an old bastard so not having that much to begin with.
