Holy $%*$%# I think any of us could have scored that one. Why does he call for it if he's going to make a meal out of it?!

Should have taken Casey off instead. Move Landon up. Torres into midfield.

    Casey offered nothing tonight.

He settled down in the second half, remember he hasn't played with these guys pretty much ever before except for the training session yesterday.

I don't know what got into Dempsey after he gave the ball away that ended up being the goal, but I like it.

I think Jozy has some pretty good touch. The bring down pass to Dempsey was nice. But I agree with most of whatcha sayin.

torres & adu > mastro, end of story. so why mastro was on the game roster and those two weren't is beyond me. screw BB. bocanegra saved his a** tonight. we didn't look like we could score a second goal in all honesty.

screw BB and him playing favorites. unforunately he got a win tonight and all is well again.

I'm wondering if that may have been a bad pass or Dempsey timed his run wrong. the ball was certainly too close to his body for him to put away. I can't decifer weather it was too much ball loft or if that was on Dempsey.

You're ridiculous. Bradley is far from a #10 and has NEVER been played as such under BB. Take off the Adu shades man.

if the corner flag was his target, he was pretty darn close.

When M. Bradley plays in the 2DM system he is switiching off between playing the #10 and going back to the destroyer thru-out the game.

Jermaine Jones' nickanem in Germany is translated to the "Ultimate Destroyer". So onece he's with us Bradley can feel free to move forward and play a distributing free roaming midfielder like his pappy wants him to.

We don't play with two DMs. We play with two CMs who can both contribute to the attack, just not simultaneously. He never plays as a #10.

Same reason Torres was pulled at halftime. He was partially at fault for both of Costa Rica's first two goals because he was ball-watching. I don't have all that much of a problem with dropping Torres after that game.

Of course, that leads to another question: why was Mastroeni starting, when he was beyond horrible in Costa Rica?

You know nothing about football if you think the goals were his fault. Happen to catch Beasley's "touch" a few moments before the first goal? The fact that Torres was even in the vicinity at that moment is commendable.

I would ask where Bradley and Maestroni were at that moment? Or Gooch, or Boca?

DM? Did you see Torres's defense in Costa Rica? I want to see Freddy more but Freddy and Torres would give us no defense in the midfield. Maybe pair one of them with Benny (who played great last night) or Bradley (who gets a lot of crap on these forums but is one of the few players who can defend, win balls, control the ball, and connect passes).

    True.

Perhaps I was a bit harsh in my initial assessment of Casey.
